Why don’t we just build a nuclear power plant on the moon...

Why don’t we just build a nuclear power plant on the moon? We get the power without the pollution and when we decide to colonize the moon that can power them

Sign this man up for a genius

That sounds expensive as shit

How will the power be transfer to Earth for uses?

Yeah... no...

Oh and a really, really long extension cord. I forgot that part

Tunnels

There are already places on the moon that receive perpetual sunlight. It would be far more efficient to put a solar farm there.

Extension cord duh. Fuck you're dumb

How is power regularly transported?

But in the long run it’s better for our environment plus it can be huge

What’s wrong with the plan

No either like a beam type situation or we just send space shuttles back and fourth

We can just do that on earth

BRILLIANT!

Fucking eco-faggot. Fuck off with this "save the moon" bullshit. Nuclear>solar pussy shit.

>waaaaah teh moon gets sunlight, we should be fagets in space just like we are on Earth

Wouldn't that make the full moon radioactive and turn people into mutants?

Bluetooth, dummy.

Do you even know how nuclear plants work? You need water for one to cool the plant, as why they are are near water, and the tempreture of the moon ranges from -60°C too about 220°C so that straight up would cause so many problems

No since there is no air it would have nothing to travel through and should float directly into space

whe put big trumpet ears then call it the shrekmoon

they discovered water in mars, shall we try there instead?

What are -60c and 220c in farenheight?

how u getting it to earth

Lmfao

Needs water for starters. Second how you gonna get that power to earth. Nuclear is clean energy. Its essentially a large steam engine. The issues are when leftists complain endlessly and we cant get funding for new equipment and the old shit fails and pollutes the environment.

A better idea would be to purge the earth of leftists

microwaves

Cloud transfer

where do those spent cores end up again?

The spent scores can still be used. We in the US cant reuse them because leftist cry like fucking ugly cunt rags

> a better idea would be to purge the earth of humans

Better idea would be to burn conservatives in a giant furnace for steam power

That wouldnt last very long. This is a leftist cunt using full brain power

The problem is the disposal if the radioactive waste you massive faggot

Beam or routine space shuttles sent over and that will also help us advance space flight technology

Linus techtips?

Space is cold and will keep it nice and cool

>purge lefties to advance society and technology for generations to come
>purge conservatives for a few days of cheap electricity
This type of logic is why we need to purge the lefties

employ nuclear energy to turn moon into a new and closer sun

>inb4 earth is flat, y u entered here

That is some thing most people sadly don't understand.
It is realy hard to cool something in space.

Cooling means the heat you don't want has to be transfered from one medium to another.

This can be realy hard in a place with no atmosphere because there is no medium you can transfere heat into.

Nearly the whole surface of the ISS (exept the solar panels for sure) is covered with heat exchange equipment.

And that thing has to get rid of the heat generated by the sun and the technical equipment.

A nuclear plant would produce a "little" more heat.

Btw, thats why space combat will be about heat managment and toasting the enemy crew.

Nuclear energy is the way forward.
0 emissions so its clean.
Waste can be recycled and reused.
Once reused it reduces its half life to like 100 years rather than a 100000 years.
It's a dense fuel so all the waste produced in the US over the last 60 years could be stored safely in an area the size of a football field at 10 yards deep.

Evil organisation threatens to literally cut the cord to the earth's power unless their demands are met.
If cut repairs could take minutes.

Not usually 240,000 miles away through space

Dumbass. If the Earth was flat, then how come the sun disappears at night. Do lefties even know basic shit? GAS THE LIBERALS, CIVIL WAR NOW!

Using microwaves to send power to Earth is very difficult because of the distance and because the moon is in orbit around the Earth so it would be a moving target. A geostationary solar power satellite makes a lot more sense, because it stays in the same position relative to the Earth and it's in the sunlight most of the time.

As for putting a reactor on the moon, it takes a hell of a lot of infrastructure to build a reactor, as well as a lot of labor. You would need an entire mining and metal refining industry first. But cooling would not be a problem. Half the time, any place on the moon is not lit by the sun. You can radiate heat to space: It's almost absolute zero. When the heat collector is lit by the sun, you store the heat and reflect the sunlight.

You think flat earthers are liberal? Are you actually retarded? The entire movement comes directly from the fundamentalist section of the right. Not that it actually matters. They allow their shitty christian ideas about reality and lack of trust in the facts of science dictate their view on what the earth and space is. The entire model is based on biblical literalism. Look up the history of the flat earth movement and the flat earth society if you want to doubt me.

You better repent while you still have the chance, sodomite. Don't you dare try to corrupt His Word with your blasphemous liberalism. Not on my watch, sinner. Only the sick and lost mind of a liberal would try to convince people that the Earth is flat. How dare you deny His perfect design, and then compound your transgression by trying to lead His flock from the Light. Damn you and your cursed and wretched mind.

Battletech does a good job of representing this concept
