I grew up watching it, same as star trek, crocodile hunter, Jeff corwin, and a bunch of other stuff. Sadly, now a days the only remotely good quality stuff to watch are the ancient aliens shows. And the occasional wildlife documentary that comes on once in a blue moon.

That and they're horrible by design. There's no way for them to improve, so all it's done is create a self feeding cycle of awful existential issues where they're the monsters in an uncaring world trying to demand the simplest and most basal pleasures that they are denied again and again.
