Fruit salad

Duh

17, anyone who says otherwise is retarded

15.5

>b/ in a nutshell

/thread

there is no real way of knowing what the rules are when it comes to the symbols so you can't be sure

have sex incel

will do that
thx for the advice

each apple is 10
banana is 4
coconut is 3
3+10+4 is 17

818

17.
Or 14.5, taking into account that there's 3 bananas instead of 4, and only one coconut half in the final equation.
Hard to say what the apple leaves are worth, if anything.

x + x + x = 30
3x=30
x=10

x + 4y + 4y = 18
10 + 8y = 18
8y = 8
y = 1

4y - 2z = 1
4 -2z = 1
-2z = -3
z = 3/2

z + x +3y = ?
1.5 + 10 + 3 = 14.5

Bad fruit salad with only 3 fruit

half a coconut?

The correct answer is OP is a faggot.

Does it involve european or african swallows?

17, except the 'apple' in the second line could be different from the first just to throw us off, deeming the problem otherwise unsolvable at least with the math that I know.

Mango

15.5

1 Apple is 10
3 Bananas each is 4
Coconut is 3
Half-Coconut would be 1.5

Half-Coconut 1.5 + Apple 10 + 3 Bannanas each 4 ==== 10+4+1.5= 15.5

The trick that's making retards say 17 is that they are not noticing the half coconut!

Attached: 0 KR0lpn7XYPGo1KBo.jpg (2000x1500, 235K)

And you didnt notice the banana bunches were different.

Its 14.5

AHHH Fuck me! But still that fucking 4th apple!

Attached: eeb-sera-мy-meat-at-3-00-am-here-we-go-60441871.png (500x739, 98K)

apple is different
coconut is different
banana is different

you shouldn't put banana on fruit salad, mate

You can't solve this shit since the apple in the 2nd row has no leaf on it.

how abt apple leaf?

Apple leaf gone to, 15.4

Normally it would go as follows
3 apples = 30
1 apple = 10
apple + 8 bananas = 18
8 bananas = 8
1 banana = 1
4 bananas - coconut = 1
coconut = 3
half a coconut + apple + 3 bananas = 1.5 + 10 + 3 = 14.5
But the apple in the second row is edited to not have the leaf so the whole thing is impossible to solve

17 ?

what about the lack of a leaf on the 2nd apple you nigger?

3 bannanas instead of 4 would be 3 quarter value

Half-coconut would be half value!

No fucking idea how to apply that logic to the apple! and there is no shame in admitting that! I believe that this is designed to annoy the people who are trying to figure the apple value!

Answers addressing the value change of the banana and/or coconut that were 14.5 or 15.5 should be commended for actually assessing the different values of the fruit above the genuine below average I.Q. simpletons who answered 17!

No way of knowing the rules with symbols?

I take it that you have never had an Intelligence quotient (I.Q.) test?

im sure you are one of the retards that writes on their Curriculum Vitae in font 72 to look more smart

You are the first one to do the math correctly. Congrats, you're smarter than Yea Forums.

Looks like someone guessed 17.

Instead of accepting your mistake and learning from it, you retaliate in an unprovoked emotional response by calling me a "Sausage Boy"
Oh and "Eat a dick" is a poor choice of words as Bisexuals or known to have "Above Average--------higher----Superior" Intelligence!

Not full faggots or trannies though! They still hit a 90 Score

Yes because intelligence is based on your choice of font? Unless deemed mandatory for a Uni assignment I don't see how you came to the conclusion of "RETARD"

A
Fapples are 10. Bananiels are 4. Broconuts are 3.

3 + 10 + 4 = 17.

But that's still wrong. With the information given there is no way to know the individual value of anything after the first line.

That's wrong. The first line has apples and what they equate to. The second line has 1 apple for reference, and from that and what that all equals we can extrapolate the value of the nanners. Rinse / repeat for lines 3 and then 4.

The second lines apple is different from all the other apples.

Not answerable, nigger. It could be anything because of the variations of symbols.

Idiot

You're retarded

No u.

Nvm I'm retarded

I didn't pay attention to quantities of each group and I'm the retard

Attached: Well_shit.png (600x695, 9K)

The only correct answer is: OP is a faggot

1/3 coco + 10 + 3 = 14

coco can also be 1/2, so this makes it 14.5, but OP is a faggot so it doesn't matter

Attached: jj.jpg (718x653, 120K)

There's nothing that states that bananas have to be 1 per banana. It could well be that 4 bananas = 4, 3 bananas = 2. Or perhaps 3 bananas = 4 since only the rotten one was removed.

Wait, are the bananas activated or not?

13+x
Since that last variable wasn't in any other equation it's still undefined.

6 unknowns and 4 equations. There is no exact solution.

15.5

Actually thinking that using symbols in such a way is in an acceptable way to do math is just dumb. Math is a precise science that shouldn't rely on peoples subjective reasoning what should or shouldn't be done. If two symbols are different you need an equation to describe their correlation. If we use your retarded way of thinking we can say "if X=4 then Y = 3 beause it has one line less".

second equation has a different apple, no way to solve this although if it was the same apple 17 would be right

Wait, you counted each banana as an individual versus using the entire hand as just a single variable?

Is that allowed?

banana

7. I didn't notice there's a banana missing in the last one.

Retard doesn't understand algebra

its 17 stupid fucks all of these threads have the same answers

wait nvm there's a banana missing in the last equation

look again

It's 14.5 and you haven't been paying attention

Otherwise

And there's only half a coconut

ye saw that

TIL algebra is subjective if you're a retard.

there's no way to solve because the only baseline that's established is that an apple with a leaf is valued as 10.

However, even in step 2 we're taken for a ride because they don't use their baseline of an apple with a leaf, they use an apple without one, so we can't necessarily derive that its value is still 10 and therefore can't determine with 100% certainty that the value of each bunch of bananas is 4. Because of that, we also cannot determine the value of 2 coconuts is equal to 3. The last equation is henceforth made impossible for us to solve because it's using a single coconut, an apple WITH a leaf and a bunch of bananas that's missing one, mostly things we don't know the value of. We know from the original baseline that the answer is at least 10 because they used the apple from the baseline, but otherwise it's impossible to say with absolute certainty that it's 17 or any other number other than >10

This is correct. But the faggy OP will now reply to this post and call you stupid and make baseless assumptions about your knowledge of maths.

My everyday job involves a lot of coding and bugfixing which usually involves dealing with a lot of math. The equation in the OP picture is basically a bunch of undeclared variables. If it were a script, it would return a value of 10 because undeclared = 0, but in real world math we'd just chalk it up to unsolvable.

Apple 10
bananas 4
2 coconuthalves 3
1 coconuthalf 1.5
1.5+10+4=15.5

Correcting myself. Apple without leaf 9, so bananas 4.5
makes 1.5+10+4.5= 16

Your bananas portion is wrong too, look at how many bananas are in the 3rd statement.

This

The answer is joining my server on discord
MYJMhdM

who are you to determine the value of that leaf? What's your basis of that leaf being worth a whole 1? You going by the overall area of a 2d picture? If that were the case I suppose it would be worth roughly 1, but if you take the mass of a 3d apple versus its leaf, it would be worth a value of maybe 0.01. There's no way to truly determine the value of that leaf so the entire equation is impossible to solve. And don't give me "but the leaf is obviously worth 1" because it's not obvious. Your decision that an apple without a leaf is worth 9 is based on personal bias. Someone else might decide the value of that leaf was 2, or 3, or even 9, which changes the whole argument. Also what the fuck is up with your math on bananas? If you have 4 bananas and you take one away, the value doesn't go UP, it goes down. If the value of 4 bananas = 4, the value of 3 bananas would be less, likely around 3, not 4.5.

fuck off Kash

17

yummy yummy

Apple is 0.5*18, and 2 sets of bananas are 0.5*18.

Your Formulare is Not correct, sir

Attached: 1474396641949.gif (384x162, 1.24M)

In this scenario, you have the following presented images:
1) Apple
2) Banana bunch of 4
3) Coconut halves
4) Apple with no leaf
5) Single coconut half
6) Banana bunch of 3

I don't know where this 7th unknown came from, but the point is still valid. You're a nigger who can't understand patterns.

impossible to determine without establishing a concrete value of the leaf on the apple. equation is impossible, period.

Impossibru

Attached: Screenshot_20190726-174558.png (1080x1920, 174K)

This is good except you didn’t account for the apple not having a leaf in the second part.

You have A xanax??

the only consistent thing in the whole thing is that the value of an apple with a leaf is worth 10, but the whole thing gets derailed in step 2 when they remove the leaf from the apple, making it impossible to solve. Your fucking calculus teacher would have no problem telling you the same thing.

basically long story short to everyone arguing this shit in this thread... the equation itself is impossible to determine because of the fluctuation in variables and unknowns. It was never a math question, it's an exercise in critical thinking, which is why damn near everyone here has failed.

This is able to be solved if we find the look at the size of the leaf and the apple and subtract whatever the percentage of the leaf is of the apple, if you understand what I'm saying.

3part equasion. The two sets of bananas are of equal value, so toghether they amount to the same value as the leafless apple, making them toghether 0.5*18, so each 0.25*18=4.5. with the apple as the other half, that makes 2*4.5=9

14,5

no, it's not, because the value of the leaf or the way to determine its value is never established. If it were based on surface area, maybe, but what if it's determined by attractiveness? Maybe I don't like leaves on my apples so the leaf could be worth a negative number due to my personal bias, which would mean the apple is more valuable without its leaf than with it.

I'm just going with surface area

BANAN?

Attached: 1288897572338.jpg (260x397, 22K)

still impossible to determine. Sure, the bananas are valued as the same, but what if the bananas were worth 1 each? That would mean that an apple without its leaf is worth 16, which would mean that the leaf on the apple was worth -6. Without a baseline you can't solve it and any attempt to is 100% based on personal assumptions and bias, which is unreliable. Like I said, this is an exercise in critical thinking, not math. The math itself is impossible to solve.

Then that is you imposing your personal bias to establish rules that are never explicitly stated simply because that's how you chose to interpret it. Which results in an unreliable answer. The equation is impossible without a clear cut set of rules.

It is the only way that makes mathematical sense

no, it's not. Let's say that apple was real and you had to give it a value for sale. Well, if you work at a grocery store, you might value it by weight. If you work at some organic market, you might value it by how pretty it is, or how healthy it looks, and leaves make things look more natural so they'd value it as more. There are a number of ways to establish a value on things, but without a declared set of rules to tell us what that method is, we can't rightfully set a value at all. Therefore, the equation is STILL impossible.

??

hell, one could even argue that the value of the apple could be determined by the numerical value of its HSL or CMYK or RGB/hex value of the colors that make it. That still makes mathematical sense and taking away the leaf drastically changes the values, and may or may not equate to 1. So again, there's no way of knowing true value without knowing WHY it has that value.

Fuck the leaf, it's negligible

14.5 cuz it is 3/4 of the vanana and half of the coconut which are 4 and 3 respectively

it's not negligible, it changes the value of the symbol entirely, just like taking away one coconut changes the symbol of the coconuts, just like taking away one banana changes the symbol of the bananas.

Congratulations, you're retarded.

Apple 10
Nanners 1 each
Coconut 1.5 each
14.5
Making the 4th nanner so hard to see is a dick move, meant to incite arguments over math.
Sad.

My critical thinking is I'm counting fruit not compost materials.
That leaf is just as much worthless trash as the peels and shells. And ripping leaves off of the tree is noob thing.
