those private detention centers are ran by companies who get paid upwards of $125 per day, per detainee, in their care.
and they pay republican congressmen to delay building that wall as much as possible, because they literally profit from illegals crossing over.

This is an excellent example of something I've observed recently.

There's a fundamental disconnect in how liberals and conservatives think and strategize. Liberals believe they're doing the right thing, either morally, ethically, or financially. Conservatives view politics in a tribal way; they believe their team deserves to be in charge and right and wrong are kind of secondary to winning the game. Critically, both sides believe the other side thinks the same way they do.

This comment is an excellent example of a conservative believing liberals think the way he does. "Open borders" aren't about lifting our lamp beside the golden door, it's about winning the political game.
