to be franx, I think you are all crazy. The gainax type stories are some of my favorite thing in anime.
It always seem to me like people don't like trigger stories because it's not what they expect to happen. They essentially get a different anime than they bargained for.
I like how no character is safe, nothing is as it seems, no plan goes 100% smooth. It's very similar to real life, almost everything goes differently and a lot more wildly than you ever expect it to.
I never expected to watch trigger's lighter shows like supernatural battles, kiznaiver, and turning girls. I went in and really enjoyed them. This is why I can recommend these works with no second thought, I loved them even though I put them under harsh scrutiny.
I know I just wrote an essay. I don't mind. This is enjoyable.
I'd recommend finishing it, it gets wild and the animation is always a treat. there's a lot of sushio cuts in there.
