Hey b I have a problem with my PC
Specs are rtx 2060 and ryzen 2600x
I have no brightness bar and when I connect my phone it says "unknown USB device"

Idk why the pic is sideways.
I have been on Microsoft support for 2 days and they did nothing

Self bump

Pitty bump

A desktop doesn't have a brightness bar? Are you fucking retarded? Use the monitor.

Turn on usb debugging in your developer options on your phone fag.

Done that

Bump

uhm, install drivers... maybe?

The charger is the issue. Just because it's charging doesn't mean the cord isn't broken. Try plugging in any other phone or USB device with that cord and it'll probably malfunction with all of them.

It works on my laptop fine tho
Windows says it has the best drivers already

Best drivers for an unknown device. Go and download the appropriate drivers for the device you’re trying to plug in and go from there.

Bump

I've done that but windows says it already has the best ones installed

some smartfones mount a virtual cd-rom drive when plugged in. on this virtual drive you can find drivers setup files

Throw your Windows PC in the bin and buy a Mac you faggot.

I've got a Samsung galaxy s8

Send your CPU angle GPU to me, you retard.

>desktop PC
>confused why there's no brightness bar

Sounds like the System32 folder. You might need to delete it and then reboot. Widows will recreate it from a working backup.

Windows drivers is best drivers.

Solves any problem I have every time.

Some phones have a USB charging mode that you have to switch to portable storage mode for it to show up correctly on a pc.

either that or you don't have the right driver installed, which is most likely the case. windows won't be able to automatically find the "best drivers" thats not how computers work.

I've tried doing it manually

Still no luck

Rtx 2060 ryzen 2600x

buying a mac makes him the faggot

Open up device manager
Find the device that isn't working
Right click - Properties
On the display tab click on the drop down and select "hardware ID"
Highlight and copy the top entry
Google that shit
Download driver from the manufacturers site NOT some shady download site.
Install drivers.

Where is the display tap

I'm not on a Windows PC at the moment to check.

Never seen that before. Windows can't read the hardware ID on the chip. I'm out of ideas, sorry.

Just had a thought. Unplug the device and then delete it in device manager. Plug it back in and get it to re-detect the hardware

Tried that

Try plugging it into the usb ports that come directly from the motherboard. They will be round the back with all the other ports for hdmi etc.

Ok give me a sec

Holy shit it worked

Must be a problem with the usb header on the motherboard that feeds the case mounted usb ports

Yeah probably but there is a few USB ports that are broken lol

At least it is working now Yea Forumsro
