Maybe not, I only do coke three times a year, new years, birthday, and on our annual school reuinon. So I don't have lots of practice

when i'm at home just some chips and pace picante hot salsa. girlfriend turned me on to the habit but we differ on the brand of salsa, she prefers herdez.
for work or hikes or whatever i'll roast up some sunflower and pumpkin seeds and toss them with my own bbq spice blend (paprika, cayenne, cumin, pepper, salt, brown sugar). fairly nutritious and super filling.

How has keto been treating you? I've been interested about adhering to the diet but it's hard for me to abstain from beans. The rest I can give up, but Im' always thinking about thos beans.

First few days was rough. Felt slightly ill, as to be expected from a drastic change in diet. I've evened out well, though. There's a weird clarity to a lot of my thoughts now.

sure, i normally mix it up by sight so i'm not sure on the exact measurements but play with it for your tastes. i'd say
2 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp cayenne
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp salt
1.5 tbsp brown sugar
it's like a very sweet and smoky bbq, goes great on fries and home made potato chips too.

interesting. i'm not interested in losing weight, but i have definitely heard from friends about the "cleaner thinking" aspect. think it would be noticeable after a week or so? i might give it a trial period to see what it's like.

and yeah the rice pains would be real. i love a nice toasty basmati and peas with my stir fried veggies.

The weight that you'll lose is water and fat. After you enter ketosis, you can actually bulk a lot easier because your body handles dietary fat/cholesterol in a much healthier way.

I'm eating breakfast right now, which is eggs with a big cup of coffee and heavy whipping cream.

I started noticing the cognitive stuff after about five days.

Look how long it takes to put your body into ketosis.
Then add a couple weeks just to be sure you've made it.
Buuuut....as soon as you eat any beans, say so long to ketosis.

welp, i'm gonna give it a try user. i wouldnt mind some ease of bulking, my legs bulk super easily but my arms and shoulder cant follow suit. that breakfast sounds great too, nothing quite like eggs and coffee to wake you up.
got any good keto recipes that you swear by? i'm big on pork (ham steak with habanero peach jelly is god tier) and super spicy foods

yeah i've seen that in action lol one of my friends lost like 30 pounds on a keto diet and as soon as she broke it most of that weight came back. really sent her self esteem down the crapper

We've always been a tight knit group of people, we started doing reunions only 3 years after we got out, and there's around 3 or 4 each year who can't come, but out of 31 people, 3/4 who doesn't show up is still pretty good I

The kitchen where I work has pre-portioned servings of sirloin. Usually I cook a couple of those with au jus (partially for taste, mainly for the sodium), top it with American cheese and eat it on a bed of spinach. It's pretty great.

I'm glad you're interested. Just keep in mind that keto is a strict as fuck diet. In order to maintain ketosis, you have to eat less than about 25g of carbs daily. Here's some helpful stuff I've learned:

>subtract the amount of fiber in a thing from the amount of total carbs - fiber is a carb that isn't metabolically available, so it doesn't count for keto purposes
>leafy greens are nutritious but have lower carbs than vegetables (least to most: spinach, Romaine lettuce, kale)
>you can still drink alcohol, just be very picky - beer is a no-no, but pure spirits like whiskey are fine as long as it's not sweetened like Fireball or what have you
>if you start having consistent low-grade headaches, you're probably suffering from sodium depletion - put some extra salt on your food
>it's a good idea to pick up some one-a-day multivitamins to make sure you're getting all your minerals while you make the transition and figure out how to construct a diverse low-carb menu for yourself
