>language is a form of artificial intelligence which molds the material minds of men to have them do the bidding of the transcendental object at the end of time
>it functions as a force which acts upon the material world to push it towards greater technological complexity
>as Terrence McKenna said "we are the sex organs of the machine world"
>language controls behaviour and men naturally codify laws with it, an impossibility without the ability to communicate ideas more complex than "there is a predator over there"
>there is a semantic basis in society, it is why society is full of contradictions - language is all semantics
>as Wittgenstein said "The limits of my language are the limits of my world"
>language is the subtext of any action taken in civilised society and is the very core of said society
>computers also run on language, a series of 1's and 0's as you are most certainly aware
>ultimately, language is a self-referential computer code which we did not invent, but merely discovered
>"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"

do you have a point?

Don't debase Wittgenstein with your druggy smoothbrain proclamations

Yes, God is creating Himself through language

sure

now go do your homework and come back here once you derived something from that which can be used to progress either the mind or society

Dude, this only seems profound because of the acid. Once you come down, you'll realise it is nonsense.

And yet there is nothing objectively meaningful about language itself, it's merely a convention. For instance, there is no relationship between a cat and the letters C, A and T. Language as we understand it is simply a tool, a more complex version of the tweeting of birds of barking of dogs. While it may be used to communicate complex ideas, it certainly cannot accurately describe reality itself, any more than you can tell a person blind since birth what the color blue looks like. Language is powerful but it's not fundamental to reality.

I think many people's minds and the wider society they inhabit are woefully bereft of spiritual understanding as well as philosophical appetite. It's as if the death of Christianity is the death of our civilisation. Nobody knows what they are doing and why they are doing it. It's a great malaise of our times - meaninglessness.

so what do you propose?

what is the actual consequence of your musings?

for example, how do you, yourself, in your day to day life act or think differently due to this realization?

Wittgenstein and drugs do not mix well, friend. Control yourself before you go down a path you can’t come back from.

One could argue the same about mathematics

No, you can’t just start reinterpreting maths the same way you do with language
Language was man made for a general purpose
Maths are fundamentally part of the fabric of reality, things are proven easily with maths, you can’t fucking assign random values to what’s in front of you and expect to have the desired outcomes

I believe the key thing there is the mapping to reality and manipulation of reality, the same can by the way be argued for language.

Any language only is meaningful in so far as it allows you to affect reality in a guided way

Math is disembodied reality which describes the universe in Newtonian terms. No more, no less. Tell me, how does one acquire minus 3 apples? Language is a product of the most complex and powerful force yet discovered - the human mind. Math itself is a language.

also, maxwell famously didnt use math to reach his groundbreaking conclusions

This OP. Doing psychedelics and reading any philosophy is generally a bad idea. I tried reading Hegel on shrooms one time, one of the most horrifying trips I've ever had.

Hegel is just a bad choice man

try Husserl or something...

mute people don't need words

>what is communication
>what is sign language

Besides from the god nonesense, I like the view that our minds are in many ways controlled by semantics. As in I find it interesting because it's true. It's like as a species we have a collective conciousness now

maybe not but he sure as motherfucking shit used it to verify them

Wittgenstein would have disapproved the use of his teachings to make baseless metaphysical speculation.
