>bourbon

>posts canadian whiskey

dont keep drinking after your organs start to hurt, bruh. take it from me. my vote would have been for old crow, but it's less harmful to drink vodka since it doesn't have all the cogeners that whiskey does

Vodka > all

Um, no sweetie. Most Canadian whiskies are bourbons save for the fact they aren't made in Kentucky. Same ingredients and aging process. Sure feels like summer in here, better let the adults talk.

>adults talk

coming from somebody who doesnt know the difference between a canadian whiskey and a bourbon

Oh sweet summer child...i've fed you enough today

drinking is for fags who are too lazy or stupid to have a good time or deal with their problems.

and a waste of money, even if it's cheap

well, now you and the rest of the idiots who arent contributing to this thread can fuck off

If it's not made in the US, it's not bourbon. Full stop. Both the US and Canadian regulators agree on that. Just because the mash bill is mostly corn does not mean it is a bourbon. I agree its pedantic, but it's like calling an Asti a Champagne.

I finish off 1 of these every 3 days and have been doing so for years.

Which is why I suggested Canadian mist as a solid cheap substitute. Any thing called bourbon must be made inkentucky. Even Jack Daniels doesn't count as bourbon even if it's pretty darn similar.

what price range is bottom shelf?

Truth

if you can find it, Henry McKenna is better and cheaper than Evan Williams. I'd take it over wild turkey or any of the middle tier brands.

I've been drinking this, about 35$ a bottle. I enjoy a glass or two nightly.

Came here to say this. Evan Williams or bust.
People who drink jack are highly misguided.

Kentucky Tavern is dirt cheap real bourbon and not bad. Ancient Age is fucking excellent and not much more than Ten High which is a blend.

this

Being called bourbon has nothing to do with what state its made in. The definition of bourbon is
Bourbon must be made of a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn.
Bourbon must be distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof (80% alcohol by volume).
Bourbon must be aged in new, charred oak barrels.
Bourbon may not be introduced to the barrel at higher than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume).
Bourbon which meets the above requirements and has been aged for a minimum of two years, may (but is not required to) be called Straight Bourbon.
Bourbon aged for a period less than four years must be labeled with the duration of its aging.
If an age is stated on the label, it must be the age of the youngest whiskey in the bottle.
Only whiskey produced in the United States can be called bourbon.

Jack Daniels is Tennessee Whisky because it goes through ‘Lincoln County Process’ where it is filtered over charcoal before it is barreled and aged.

My go to brands are Four Roses Single Barrel, Jeffersons Reserve, and Blantons.

I haven't seen a bottle of Blantons in a liquor store since September of 2017 and I live in KY, so I don't drink that very often.

I realized those aren't cheap bottles, but they are all damn good.

And if you are mixing your bourbon with Coke, get the fuck out.
