yeah, im usually up this late anyway, but this time ill be staying up until i have no idea when, probably mid afternoon or something. i dont work for a few days so its all good
i think ive only seen one or two others? the real appeal is i think the story, it doesnt really do anything else particularly special, except maybe having a lot of side content. i guess the super hard raids and trials are something to overcome, but i mean mythic raids in wow are probably about as hard if not harder.
uhh in short i dont really know why anyone plays it, lots of people just say its weeb bait, i dunno, i play it because its a massive time sink and i like enough parts of it to deal with the other parts i dont like as much.

good, i truly hope it is :) i know this is probably no help but sometimes it might be good to just... do anything, i guess. sometimes when im not feeling so good, ill find myself opening minesweeper, going through half a game, closing it, trying to find something else to do for a minute, opening a new game of minesweeper, losing or just closing it, and ill do that over and over for a while, and i think i just do it to keep busy. i dunno, i just hope you can find something or feel better or both :)

ah, yeah i see those two are definitely pretty 'idle', although cookie clicker speeds up quite a bit once you start ascending or whatever the name for ascending is in that game.
speaking of ascending, its terminology from clicker heroes! which has a sort of, active style of play, i dunno if its still any good, i havent kept up at all especially since clicker heroes 2 was announced. another good one is uhhhhhh realm grinder? that one has a ton of different styles, its really cool actually.

i liked it a lot, and once you kind of got a ways into it, after a few ascensions and stuff, you could go full-on idle and it played itself pretty well honestly.
i like realm grinder because there's like, six different playstyles at the start, and then it branches out further and further and then i kinda stopped because it was getting really complicated, but it was fun for quite a while.

I've got a fat steel mount that holds all my 3 Monitors and support my 49'' TV at the back. When I bought that mount I bought 3 of the same monitor. They look amazing and all but aren't really meant for playing games. So the reaction time is hella shitty and the fuck likes to tear in fast moving pictures. So I now decided to get a new one that looks exactly the same, just red instead of silver and replace it with my right monitor that has been broken for quite some time. It still works but does weird things sometimes. I'll move the current middle one to the side and plant the new one in the middle.

Mhm.. sure thing. My setup is 10times bigger and more expensive but yeah. Dude.. don't buy such crap. 21:9 isn't supported by tons of games for competitive reasons. It isn't even real 4K, its just a super resolution for 21:9 which means all kind of pixel errors when you try to display 1080p pics. Weird hertz counts like 100hz cause horrible tearing and wreck any kind of sync. Then there is the size.. it's impossible to ever expand your monitor setup because that thing is gigantic and curved, which means u have to only ever buy more curved screens to make em look somewhat alike.

yeah they're pretty good. i dont know if you know much about the 'GDQ's (AGDQ/SGDQ, speedrun stuff) but i watched a submission video for minesweeper once.
super boring, but its pretty darn impressive at the same time. plus ive seen high score boards for online minesweeper games, theyre usually in the 70-80 range, if i remember correctly.
frankly i dont know how they do it other than getting super lucky.

im not exactly sure what it is, i dont know if i could put it all into words meaningfully, but thats all definitely part of it. its really weird too because i dont usually like talking to people irl. maybe because there's a bit more back-and-forth here, irl people just kinda talk at me.
well it was pretty interesting imo. i cant say much towards broader changes in the community or more specifically the speedrunning events, but i know things like banning bonesaw for a year (he famously did a hilarious speedrun of jak and daxter, which while not really impressive to watch, was greatly heightened by his sleep-deprived commentary. frankly there's probably 'cringe-culture' to blame a bit but i dont really want to delve into all that) which was pretty universally panned as a poor decision.
