Fair enough, and more so; just because an idea has been said before it doesn't mean it can't be told again from a new angle for a new audience (or that nothing new can be learned by revisiting old ideas). I quite like the matrix too, but more for the action and visuals; the concepts and philosophy got ruined for me by too many (boring) people being like "oh my shit, what an original idea, wouldn't that be scary?"
I'm glad there's other people out there who can appreciate the film without shitting themselves over the concepts in it.
