Talk to your supervisor about what the boundries are. Then change how you do things. Demand and require respect. People of all sorts including children respond to confidence and authority. You need to have several contingency plans in place for how to deal with any of the kids that challenge you.

Start with morning exercises like jumping jacks then demonstrate how to make eye contact and shake a hand.

The next day after exercises you can show them how to make a fire without matches or how to build a shelter. Look up the Boy Scouts program for ideas but if anybody asks you just brainstormed some ideas with your Facebook friends. Boy Scouts piss off liberals so don't mention by name.
