See, this is why I don't have a dog. It's meaningless love would fool me into caring for something in this world, and that would lead to me being sad when something bad happened to it.
People can't do that, because they all suck so bad. Dogs, however, honestly mean it when they love you, and that would cause me to have feeling, almost human feelings. those feelings would lead to soul crushing pain, and that would be bad.
