Absolutely did, actually. To be fair, I was 3 with an NES controller in my hands, so I had a lot of hours to practice, but I beat both Punchout and Super Punchout very early on.
I probably don't have the autistic focus of a child anymore to do it, I get fed up way too quickly these days to play anything that frustrating.
Example would also be all the original Mega Man games. I was able to beat those. Now? Probably would give up halfway through.
