If you're worried about how Jews are treated just stick to cities with reasonable population. If you're living in bumfuck Idaho, could be a problem. In the civilized world no one gives a shit. being Jewish isn't being like a Christian where you just give lip service and can get away with it. ya know All that crazy shit ya have to do? Rest on Saturday, no beef with cheese, etc. We all know it's onerous, crazy even. The Rabbi teach as much too. We follow these rules as devotion to God and we don't expect others to have to do so either.
If you seriously go thru with it, you'll be sat in front of a bunch of Rabbi who will basically try to determine you're not crazy. Being Jewish is hard, and sucks at times. Wanting to convert is fucking crazy and we all know it. This isn't a fucking game.
