Not in my experience. Everyone seems pretty content with our laws, becoming pretty quick to defend them if I mention it.
Because I don't want the government in shit. They already rob ordinary people of enough taxes.

>Decriminalised rather than legalised I think you fail to understand what 'legalised' means, it means 'made not criminal', guess what decriminalised means?
William Morris
My controversial opinions mostly center around race. Look at the racial demography of the American south. The whites of the south are the whites with the most day-to-day experience with blacks. This lived experience over many generations has affected them. Are they racist for having this lived experience and the opinions that come from it? Or are they simply realistic? I think southerners are right about blacks and that whites in the rest of the country are honestly ignorant of the issue despite being very well meaning. Think about it. How is it possible for an entire culture to be mistaken?
Whoops wrong target, was meant for , sincere apologies ,
Adrian Jones
Decrim and legal are distinctly different things my dude.
Jordan Mitchell
Considering that the economy and culture of the Deep South has historically been based on white supremacy, I would say yes, they are racist.
Dylan Cook
Poverty. Poverty + systemic ostracision = gang culture.
Look at the Irish gangs and the Italian Mafia of the past. They where impoverished and ostracised.
Anyone who isn't in that clique I'll ostracise them further
And boom you have racism.
Starts with classism.
Justin Ross
Except it is not just the whites of the South that hold these racist opinions. In fact racist sentiment is very evenly spread across the nation, if prevalence of racially motivated organisations (such as White Pride or the Klan) is anything to go by. This suggests that lived experience plays a negligible role in their hatred and instead simpler, more fundamental mental processes drive the hatred, in particular the instinctual dislike of things considered 'other'.
David Gomez
Only if you're taking about production and in a legal sense. If you're taking about whether or not you can smoke to your heart's content they both do the same thing for you.
Owen Mitchell
Black people are impoverished and ostracised by and large nationwide.
If you aren't rich, you have more in common with any black gang member ore criminal than you do with the people in Government or who are rich.
Asher Myers
your pic seems odd cause you just quoted a ton of steven crowder points
Carter King
I meant in a legal context. I fail to see how that wasn't clear in my OP.
Jason Perez
My point is that their prejudice is justified. And the probable reason other whites don't share in that prejudice is because they've never met a black person.
>Irish gangs and the Italian Mafia That's a totally different road you're going down. The notion that poverty is the cause of societal maladies is nonsense.
No. It's because they've seen what happens to communities with nigs.
I disagree. Decriminalising correctly shifts the burden of blame onto those producing it, while legislating its production, including regulation and taxes, keeps break alley producers criminal unless they follow regulations, doing the exact same thing as decriminalisation to them and to consumers while also making weed safer on average, less weird cuts etc, and additionally increases tax revenue for the country to make dealing with any problems that arise in the process pay for themselves.
Jackson Brown
I've met plenty of black people. I work with black children and their parents. I don't share their prejudice.
Angel Torres
>They've seen But you already said they were ignorant, but now they're not ignorant. You can't keep your story straight, your opinion is discarded. You will twist your story to try and justify your hatred of an entire group of people based on the actions of stone of that group of people.
How does it feel knowing that there are black people smarter than you?
>trannies aren't mentally ill >if you're browsing Yea Forums, you're not as smart as you think you are lol okay retard
Jack Roberts
I'm not following. I said that whites in other parts of the country are ignorant from their lack of experience with blacks. It's the whites in the American south with lived experience who are well informed. I think you need to check your own reading comprehension, nigger.
Logan Russell
And yet it isn't only whites in the American South who hate blacks, and in answer to that point (which I made like two posts ago) you said they had seen what happens and that's why they hate blacks.
Did you just not read?
You contradicted yourself, or you were ignorant. Literally the only two things that could have happened there.
Joseph Hughes
My point is that blacks are responsible for a hugely disproportionate share of our societal maladies per their percentage of the population. And it's not just affecting the macrodata. It seeps into people's lives.
Gavin Thomas
Okay, so?
Bentley Evans
I still don't see any contradiction. I made it plain that the handful of white outside the south who do have experience with blacks are likely in agreement with southern whites.
Ryder Wood
It's a thread for controversial opinions so here goes. WE should give blacks the choice of whether or not to go back to Africa and pay them a ton of money to do so.
Anthony Hughes
There are many things that I went from being impartial to fucking hating because of how often they're talked about. I loathe all of the following.
Star Wars Anything Marvel, specially purple snap faggot Any sports anything during finals or whatever, but soccer year-round League of Legends Fortnite Most popular influencers or channels, pewdiepie, funhaus, cowchop, filthy frank, jacksfilms, etc.
I realize that this may make me sound hipster, just liking whatever isn't mainstream or whatever, but I still like other shit that's popular. When I don't care to see something, or just am generally meh about it, that's when it stops. When I can't stop seeing it, I begin to hate the shit out of it.
Nolan Allen
And they are criminal because of economic factors, as is borne out in the historical evidence of our nation. This economic disparity is driven by continuing hatred of them causing unconscious bias against them in the hiring practise which REMAINS PREVALENT. Vicious cycle.
Most people who hate them demonstrably hate them because of nothing but tradition. Especially in the South. If your daddy hated blacks and his daddy hated blacks you are almost certain to hate blacks even if there are 0 blacks in your town. Those who hate them for what they see as legitimate reasons don't ever take time to consider that this hatred is only going to drive them further down and that it's a KNOWN FACT that the weaker economically the more crime a person is likely to commit.
Stop contributing to the cycle.
Samuel Robinson
I don't care. Nobody cares.
Zachary Baker
Fair enough. I think very, very few black Americans would elect to resettle in Africa, even if you offered them a lot of money. I also think it would be very difficult to convince any African government to accept a large number of (presumably) unskilled workers who have little to no knowledge of their language and culture.
Asher Bailey

A lot of southern "whites" - even of the upper class - would have participated at the bus boycott if the one-drop-rule had been applied throughout history.
From a racial viewpoint, most USN-Americans are worthless scum that consist of too many different races to be lifeworthy. Deep within they know that and try to compensate it by LARPing as right-wingers and fascists.Degenerates, altogether!
Robert Allen
No you didn't. You said they saw what happened, never mentioned agreement with other whites, and failed to pay attention to what I was saying. It isn't a handful. I already mentioned the organisations. These are dozens strong in every town and thousands strong in every state. Racism isn't special to the south, isn't isolated, and your story is in shambles because you only constructed it so you wouldn't have to feel guilty that you just dislike those who are different, as is your nature as a human.
You can't take a moment to think about anything but from your own perspective either, it seems. Speaking as an actual diagnosed autist who spent years working on that, you are autistic as fuck.

China has a unique culture, unique traditions, and unique values.
China is home to the ethnic chinese who are fairly unique even amongst asiatic peoples.
However, there are still greater similarities between the ethnic Chinese, ethnic Japanese, ethnic Vietnamese, etc etc then between those groups and the various germanic tribes. Those germanic tribes while unique in themselves are still more similar to each other than they are to various african groups.
Everything starts with race and ethnicity. Races and ethnicities think differently, have different perspectives, different values etc. And thus form different cultures and nations.
This is why multiculturalists shout about the importance of diversity. They simply dont recognize the contradiction or more importantly that diversity necessarily includes the potential for groups that contradict and clash with each other. The assumption that we are all compatible is laughable.
Racism then is not just poverty and mistreatment by higher classes. It is the manifestation of discomfort between 2 or more fundamentally incompatible groups.
Jason Perez
>cannabis should be decriminalised rather than fully legalised I am at a loss to see what such a result might look like. Since law is prescriptive, how can there be a distinct middle ground between criminalization and legalization?
> tobacco products shouldn't have warnings on them This is a delightfully libertarian proposition. Admittedly the warnings are starting to become almost grotesquely comical, but the consequences of not warning smokers could make even Ayn Rand wince. And she doesn't wince easily.
Except I still dont blithely commit crimes, justify them by screaming that everything is racist, or act like a buffoon with a chip on his shoulder everywhere I ago. I am also not prone to random outbursts of violence.

You would use "decriminalization" as a particularly vague term of art, as each jurisdiction in the US has behaved differently and the federal law continues to be on the books (to the greater glory of Jefferson Davis Sessions's private prisons). OP's proposition seems to have been intended for the UK. In any event, the question remains: what specifically is the difference between decriminalization and "full" legalization? a) You can buy marijuana but you can't sell it. b) You can buy only 30 grams or less of marijuana and the seller must be licensed by the state. c) You can apply for a permit to buy marijuana… From any of these strange circumstances, might we then conclude that alcoholic beverages at the moment are not legalized but merely decriminalized?
>My granddad served in the waffen-ss, you mutt-cuck. Surreeeeee

Forester here. I'm not sure what region you work in but in the PNW you can only really plant regionally indigenous tree species for timber management, there are pretty strict laws on exportation and importation of lumber, and under a harvest plan and/or sustain yield plan you are required to have a restocking plan over the next 3 years (incase a cohort fails). Furthermore you're required to harvest less volume than annual yield; this is important because most timber companies have fsc or sfi certifications as well as some sort of carbon sequestration plan so they tend to yield significantly more than they harvest

As a psychologist, I am inclined to agree. Psychopharmacology right now is the chemical equivalent of .45 therapy. We have created a world hostile to most of its inhabitants: many of the dogs who refuse to eat the other dogs don't know how to cope and the dogs that enjoy eating the other dogs ought to be put down instead of being promoted to president etc.

A population of people who have been shit on by white people for centuries, after emancipation, after desegregation, for years. In cities where neighborhood lines were drawn up such that places could legally deny black people housing (who could afford it), forcing them into city sectors that received less public funding for schools, roads, etc. The countercultural movement that formed out of the multigenerational poverty spurred on by discrimination, plus increased police encounters and harsher penalties for the same crime on average, is why you see the black community in the state they're in today. It's more complicated than tHeY JuSt hAvE dUmB mOnKeY ViOlEnCe gEnE. There are black people that can pull themselves up by their bootstraps, but they are the exception (because it's hard as fuck to do, and requires some level of luck).

You’re getting “taxed” either way. You’re just shifting the tax from a government tax to a private tax through the private sector.

This one isn't so much of an opinion a it is a question. Many years ago I was taught in school that Franklin Roosevelt was the greatest president to ever lead this country. But as I aged I dug a bit deeper, being a drop out I had plenty of time to search the internet and visit the library. And research is always spread out and all over the place, but just today I came accross a connection that lead to a question. If the current American educational system is academic and was put in place under FDRs 4 terms as the first socialist leader of America (our current grading system and pledge of allegiance are socialist practices, one indoctrinates loyalty to the state while the other determines wether government will supply funding to the school), now the curious connection I made was that if America's current academia only recieves funding from the governemt if the faculty is able to "successfully" educate the student body based on student grades, than who is grading the faculty, and who is choosing the curriculum? I wonder this because I notice particularly among highschool grads and those enrolled in university or community college that get decent grades there is a growing number of people with socialist political philosophy seeping out of their pours. And since I noticed that Franklin Roosevelts presidency was taught to me as some triumphant great reign (even though it wasn't because the only reason the American economy improved under socialism was due to the war effort, and the military at the time made many poor decisions with plenty of intel suggesting alternative solutions), how much of the education received in American public schools is propoganda, I mean if im being honest, I learned more about ancient Greece and Rome in world history class than I did about America in US history class, as embarrassing as it is I didnt even learn in depth about South American history or the Spanish American war until I met an expat from venezuela who sparked my interest.

Lies and propaganda pushed by liberal Democrats. As a republican only color I give a shit about is green and your right to earn it fairly. Vote for Trump.
Ethan Brooks
Well you're kind of wrong about the pledge of allegiance. Socialism more or less just describes to what degree the government is involved in the economic structure of a Nation. So the nationalistic tendencies of the government can vary wildly between socialist countries, ie. nationalism and state promoted nationalism varies wildly between places like qatar and Norway, which have suprisingly similar economic structures. As to your experience in school, it sounds very different from mine: we were never taught fdr was the best president, we weren't really taught that there was a "best" president, but the opinion I've heard from most Americans is that Lincoln was. So idk really what to say other than, where did you go to school, was it public and was it a poorer or more wealthy district
Xavier Myers
Who made you slaves? Democrats Who freed you? Republicans Who drew those lines? Democrats Who wants to control you? Democrats Who wants to shit on your freedoms? Democrats Who wants a free nation, where the only thing we care about is the quality of your character? Republicans
Seriously do a little research into American history. That cunt Bill Clinton kept black Americans in the inner cities. Obama ignored the cries of black people and imposed harsher criminal sentences. Trump is fighting to decriminalize drug use and wants to put things into place to get you of drugs. He released 3200 black people over minor drug offenses from prison.
Why the fuck black people vote Democrat is beyond any understanding. If you value freedom and want actual change, vote republican. If you want a proven failed communist state vote Democrat, at least we'll all starve to death in solidarity.

I went to school in north St Louis county, Missouri. Missouri is a "Republican" state, with St Louis being a "Democrat" city. My neighborhood was where the Ferguson riots happened following Mike brown, nearly every person I grew up with (primarily females) that I used to be friends with on Facebook where extremely outspoken Democrats with radical beliefs, while my small group of close friends tends not to care much about either party. But from what I've gathered most graduates are firmly opinionated about every buzz word topic and this spreading mentality has resulted in all my accounts being suspended without appeal from all platforms for opting out of having an opinion and choosing to make others the butt of a joke, so I know it isn't isolated to my class. This is a far reaching, and deep seeded mentality that hasn't been seen in American culture since the decades leading up to civil war (or as southern Dems called it "northern aggression"). And I think the branch in charge of education is directly responsible. Every teacher I had in elementary school and high school had a tendency to demonize or glorify historical figures, be it subtle or pronounced, and I'm thinking this style of teaching that pressures the student and requires brain chemistry altering medication to sustain itself is a complete failure that needs to be stripped away from government, I can literally access any thing I want on line and source the material myself, so why should a human be given an appraisal and assigned a value based on a grade, and a label based on opinions, and who gets to decide the legetimacy of such practices? Especially when university drop outs make up some of America's most successful entrepreneurs, and innovators. Meanwhile cunts with degrees and unrelated occupations think their opinion should be respected "or else"
Tyler Evans
Or your right to extract it out of people doing the actual work. Can you really say it's earned fairly in this situation? Oh sure, you too could build a Microsoft, but there is a lot of luck involved in that process, and you need quite a bit of overhead, both mentally and financially. How many Microsofts have risen and fallen in the wake of the one that actually succeeded? We worship the extreme success story (an American fixation) without considering that much larger proportion that doesn't get near there (through a combo of not being equipped with the mental tools/training, economic opportunity, or being in the right place at the right time with the right appearance).
