I think she's self medicating bipolar. Yes she's a loser because she's totally dependent on weed and it kills her motivation. She's a competent professional and takes care of the house and kids, but lacks energy and motivation to have fun and do things beyond the necessities and the kids' events. And it's a chicken and egg scenario - I'm not sure if the weed made her depressed or if she turned to weed to fight depression. She was much more fun and adventuresome and sexual earlier, so I think that the weed combined with motherhood has just totally worn her down. If I had it to do over again, I would have dumped her after fucking her a couple of times.
