issue with desktop pc where I can't min max close or drag titlebar on internet browser.
works on other apps. try to use chrome and click on tab and instead of focus it closes tab.? it's really weird and frustrating. even right now i can't right click on the quick reply. almost feels like machine has virus.
I could paypal $2.5 possibly for pointing me in right direction
like right now I have firefox fullscreen and I can't click to minimize it on titlebar. I have to click icon on taskbar which always seems to work

Malwarebytes,Defrag and restart. If that fails, time for a reformat. Or the mouse is dying and not registering clicks.
James Watson
Have you run MalwareBytes (or some other competent anti-virus/malware)? Should be free to run for 30 days.

win 7 pro. recently downgraded from 19x1080ips monitor to 1440x900
sob brother broke into bedroom yanked dvi cable out of monitor and I'm assuming kicked pc cause cpu cooler was hanging out of machine and cpu was 150 degrees. not sure if that has something to do with it?
basically found old monitor in basement and using that
works fine with skype steam etc but with firefox and chrome it gives errors
Defrag can find and repair corrupted code, that could help. If it's confined to the browsers, you could try reinstalling them fresh, but it's rarely that simple. You could also start in safe mode and do a rollback to get rid of whatever caused the corruption.

the closing of the tabs sounds like it's registering as a middle click

Does Google not work today or something?

>sob brother broke into bedroom yanked dvi cable out of monitor and I'm assuming kicked pc cause cpu cooler was hanging out of machine and cpu was 150 degrees. Fuck, didn't read that part. It's probably more than just a random code hiccup if it was physically abused.
Aaron Thomas
thanks. giving it a try
ye that does sound about right. same thing with my win explorer. I got tabs on it and will go to click tab and it will close it. fuck!
that would indicate mouse issue?
no idea if anyone experience issue like this. it's pretty
try opening a tab and hitting the middle button and see what happens, does he have access to get into your computer and fuck with shit?
David Price
Not entirely clear what you're seeing. There's no titlebar for firefox, or it's stuck in fullscreen, or what?
Jonathan Campbell
nothing. but right click on desktop it takes like one second to even load that tiny menu. like it was demanding on cpu. but then i try to right click block element on that advert in the internet window and no response. very annoying you can imagine
could he get into the OS to fuck with settings though?

If you're running a degrag, and some kind of third party theming app, especially on a spinning disk, not really surprising it's chugging a bit.
Anyway. Try a fresh Firefox profile and see if it still is misbehaving - close entirely out of firefox (use the task manager to ensure firefox.exe isn't running, to be sure) then press WIN+R, then type firefox -P and you should get a "Choose user profile" dialogue for Firefox. Hit "Create Profile", set up a new profile and see if firefox is behaving under it.
