I did. This one is actually a bit more complicated than it needs to be because I relocated the buttons, extended the camera cable and installed a hidden USB port so it can be accessed from the outside.
You could easily make a more basic version by just making a custom battery cable and leaving the rest as is. Since it can run for a very long time, it doesn't really need to be quick to operate, so you don't really need to relocate the buttons.
