The original dark souls. Beat it over 40 times. Haven’t played in a while but I still revisit occasionally. Top tier game one of the best.

I find Naughty Dog games to be overly pretentious, gameplay is usually dogshit too. Graphically beautiful, great character work but the actual moment to moment gameplay? fuck naww

seriously around 600 hours into this

Go play more games ya fucking normies.

Literally beat this game atleast a 100 times minimum. Had so many bolts that when i viewed my save file it couldn't read higher than 9.999.999.999 bolts(had about 12 billion bolts when i loaded the save. i had every weapon upgraded with poison, i had every single health upgrade except for one, where you had to use a glider to get it, never got it though.

Anyone who says ff7 is a fucking fag

Agree here, vanilla and TBC WoW, is probably the best game ever made. Literally everyone played it to some degree during '04-'08ish, right down to your damn plumber. I even had a 56 year old Naval Historian as one of my raid MTs. Second would be Soulsborne. Big honorable mention to Subnautica, that game had no right to be as good as it is.

Great game. Got banned here so took a while to get a copy from ebay.

why does it bother you so much that people enjoy mainstream "normie" games?

even if you think their opinions are dog shit, who cares? why are you so angry, user?

Congrats you all have good taste in games.

Says the butthurt newfag posting southpark memes. Go back to your trap threads and play last of us you fucking retard. u tk him 2dabar|?

I'm gonna go play system shock 2 and smash ur mum

I'm not sure, I would say Bloodborne for the gameplay, lore, boss design etc. However it doesn't have the replayability of say Dark Souls 1. It's just something about it...

If it was a game I've played the most it would likely be Guitar Hero 3 or Mario Kart.

People get whatever 'the cool thing' is and play that thinking it's the best game they've ever played, not even realizing that games they're playing are as shitty as their friends.who suggested/are playing them.

By being told their games are shit, maybe they'll one day check out another game off their comfort meter and see what they're missing out on.

It's pointless posting uninteresting garbage in a thread like this. Might as well just replace all the trash games with fortnite pictures.

Lets see *interesting* favorite games. Not some bullshit you'd find on reddit.

cont.

It's like all the faggots posting FF7 and other games that people played because they are overhyped and 'popular'/

FF7 is a good game, but it's far from anything special. Tons of other FF games far better than it.

Just a lot of zoomers in here posting a generic game they played 72% of in their collection of 8 games.

I really fucking hope they make another. Absolutely love this game.

kotor

I've played every FF game. It's cool to hate on 7 because it's popular.

Let me guess, you're one of those FF6 fags that actually enjoyed having all your party members taken away 3/4 of the way through the game?

Bruh this shit was like, my life between 15 and 18

I may have spent a thousand hours on the solo, still not bored of it.

Attached: packshot_halo2.jpg (338x480, 80K)

Lul. Was shittu but funny. My creature died and i just kept rolling bolders into the village. What was the point anyway?

Yeah but I'm not hating on 7, I'm hating on the people choosing 7 out of every FF game. If you've played all the FF's cool, but if you're choosing 7 out of all of them, your taste is shit and I hate your guts.

Also, no FF6 is not my favorite.

Attached: 1559971312797.jpg (880x876, 199K)

Tbh, it's To The Moon. I don't know if many of youbhave played it, but the score and soundtrack is amazing as well as the story.

MVC3

I reckon currently its gotta be spiderman ps4 or one of the Soulsborne games

Probably gonna trigger some fags, but it's probably Red Dead Redemption 2. For almost 2 decades, my favorite was OoT, but RDR2 is the only game that gave me that same feeling I got as a kid. Pure excitement, and no desire to Google things, or have it spoiled in any way.

I'm still playing it to this day, in fact.

Attached: red_dead_redemption_2_exclusive_gang_shot_-_publicity_-_h_2018-1.jpg (768x433, 48K)

Maverick virtual combat 3 was the shit. MY NIGGA!

But thats the thing about opinions, what games people like and the reasons they like those games are always gonna be different from your own. I can only speak for myself in this thread, but I've played a lot of "normie" games and a lot of "indie" games in my day, but my favorite game is still world of warcraft (started playing when retail was tbc but I still play on vanilla servers a whole lot as well as tbc, wotlk and cata). Just because that's my favorite game ever doesn't mean I dont or cant appreciate artsy fartsy, underground, small time games or companies

What if 7 is the only FF game you’ve played?

Yet to be outdone.

Attached: mgstitle.jpg (1280x960, 95K)

Then play more FF games retard. Ascend from normie-ism

Everyone I've ever known, or anyone's computer I've ever fixed working in IT, who's favorite game is wow, has the most dogshit games installed on their PC.

The fact that you've said "indie games in my day" just solidifies that you think indie games were even a thing *back then*.

Good games weren't usually made by underground small time companies or indie devs. Again, you're a wow gamer that knows nothing about the vast deposits of video game gold out there.

You play WoW and a few other shitty games and that's it.

Attached: 5.jpg (900x598, 345K)

Yeah this is a discussion board, and "that effort" is keeping the thread alive idiot.

1, 10, 8, 12, and tactics are my favorite. The XIII OST is also good.

>everyone else likes different things
>clearly there's something wrong with all of them

The noose is calling, user.

As long as 10 is on the list, you're okay in my book.

I'm honestly rather glad people have said FF7 rather than 15. Fuck 15.

>The fact that you've said "indie games in my day" just solidifies that you think indie games were even a thing *back then*.
>I could have worded that less retardedly but what i meant was games that didnt sell very much but are now considered cult classics etc even if they were made by aaa studios

>Good games weren't usually made by underground small time companies or indie devs
Whats the point in replying to me if youre not even gonna read literally the first sentence in my post lol

>Again, you're a wow gamer that knows nothing about the vast deposits of video game gold out there.
cringe and bluepilled

>You play WoW and a few other shitty games and that's it
I don't really play wow that much these days and I havent had an active sub to the retail game since 2012 but nice guess tho

Yeah, I have nothing against 7. 15 just doesn't even resemble Final Fantasy to me. It's like the new God of War. Besides the main character, you wouldn't have any clue its a GoW game. Just a new game piggybacking off the popularity of a great classic series.

Even if online is pure dogshit.

Really? It doesn't work anymore?

Well for me that's not very common. Typically I smash a game out in a few weeks. Maybe a month or two if I'm really busy. I'm on my third playthrough right now, going for 100%, and I'm still having a good time.

And yeah, fair. Can't stand online. Only reason I plan on playing it at all is to get all the trophies. And that's only after I completely burn out on story mode.

sup girl
wrr u get ur nails did

I'll kist my best 10, because it's impossible to list less. Videogames, just as music, is too wide as a cathegory to pick an all-time favourite. As for my personal tastes go, I favour RPGs and dislike shoot'em ups, but I'm not american, so I guess it's genetic unintrest in firearms as a cathegory, not to mention I tend to avoid shooters in RPGs as well, lol. Btw here goes.

1. Legend of Dragoon
First because it was one of my first videogames, will always have a special place in my heart. And the soundtrack. Fuck me sideways, I wish I could play it again.
2. Final Fantasy (7-8-9-10 mostly, even if I played them all, these were the games of when I was 20.)
3. MGS (whole saga, my fav is 2)
4. Tenchu Stealth Assassins (first chapter is best chapter)
5. Soul Calibur (whole saga, did some tournaments as well in my days)
6. Elder Scrolls (whole saga, my fav is Skyrim, too many feels, currently playing ESO)
7. Age of Empires II (I'm 32 and it was my first strategy game, still so beautiful to listen to the soundratck of this)
8. Bushido Blade (it was a masterpiece)
9. League of Legends (the only miba I ever played, I don't like mobas too much but I love playing this game with friends, kinda the only satisfying multiplayer game in modern times IMHO)
10. Rimworld (currently playing it, fantastic concept but this game makes you a worst person and makes you rage like a kike who lost 10$ in a crowd)

Attached: 1563184159474.jpg (604x482, 18K)

you stoked about
dat casino

or do you think I'll be more r* fuckery?

My first ever RPG, when I was 10/11 and had no idea about turn-based combat. I was instantly hooked on this game from the beginning and it took me over a month to complete. The story, the characters, the worlds it was all so incredible and I still play this game to this day. For me this was a huge experience and is still in my opinion one of the best games ever made. They don't make games like these any more. Back when Bioware weren't fucking degenerates.

Attached: KotOR_Cover.png (768x960, 662K)

Trash tier meme
0/10

Arguable. I think best story is 7, best combat mode is 9, and best feeling in general was 8.

8 was a merry utopia where everybody was never less than good-looking, all places were rich, all things shiny and cool. For some reason I liked that.

Attached: 43242342.jpg (500x667, 62K)

Not that user, but I actually like the regular turn based system instead of the active turn based system. That's one of the reasons I dig 10 so much.

...

Here's the real question then, user. What's your desert island game? If you had only one game for the rest of your life, which would it be?

Do I get to fuck on that island, or am I alone? Mandatory question.

Attached: 1563074138479.jpg (750x721, 35K)

I can't really choose, but I'll just put SOMA here, as I can safely say it haa the best narrative in a game I've played

No, but you can receive blowjobs from pic related.

Attached: 7947426_f260.jpg (260x347, 14K)

The final part of FF10 makes you feel like they had to close the game so fast they did not worry about the player being disappointed. They should make possible to finish the game without ending it and let you roam forever as a god.

Guess Rimworld, then. It's neverending, hard as fuck, impossible to finish, not multiplayer, and I never get bored of playing it.

And I suppose at that point the real ace move would be pic related.

Attached: 1562744947080.jpg (498x584, 87K)

Taffers don't know shit about this shit right here.

Attached: 220px-Thief_The_Dark_Project_boxcover.jpg (220x281, 15K)

Yup that's the one, comic book kills, smooth music. Disappointing ending coz it was just getting really good

Since both of those posts were me, I'll just reply in one. lol

Agreed, the ending was really unsatisfying. They did kind of fix it with later games and side movie things. Also a manga or some shit. But they should have done it in the base game. I love the characters, the aeons, the style in general. If I could pick a game world to live in, it might be Spira.

Never played Rimworld. It looks like a sci-fi Prison Architect. And I loved PA, so I might have to give it a shot.

>remake was better

Attached: 1y7x4c.jpg (960x540, 44K)

Fallout 2. Chronicles of riddick escape from butcher bay was so dope. Dragon age origins was great even though it's not my cup of tea. What else hasn't been said yet... Resident evil 4 was a great surprise too.

Mmh. Guess it's one of my favourite worlds as well. Good taste, user.

Also Blitzball could have been fucking cool, but I kinda missed the whole card gaming of the previous FF chapters, which i deeply loved, and that was another major turndown.
I would grab Rimworld asap if I were you, user.
Mind, it took me a month to go in deep in the gameplay and understand the mechanics. Google Dwarf Fortress before you give it a shot.

Its a app game

Attached: dragonball Legends.jpg (554x766, 73K)

Stranger, STRANGER! Now THAT'S a weapon!
Yup, great game. Res2 and 3 were cool as well.
As for Fallout, I loved the third chapter and all the add-ons, and I hated Vegas. Too much american stuff. May be the only one in the world, lulz.

>Dwarf Fortress
Oh it's one of those? With the crazy complex systems, and a million ways to play?

I can get into those for sure. Is there any way to set up a stable system that you can leave running for a bit? Like overnight? And then in the morning, check in, do some general maintenance, make some upgrades, and then let it run some more?

Nah, it's a bit different.
It's more savage. I mean, I never seriously played DF, but I know how it works.
Here in Rimworld you could also pause, pretty comfy if you like smoking like I do. But -depending on the way you set the game- events are unskippable and inevitable. It just inevitably becomes more and more difficult the more you play the same game. I went on for 4 years in the game in my apex try until now. Now I'm posting from phone and I don't have screenshots to send, but it you open this same thread in the evening when I cut from work I could go more indeep, it's pretty hard to explain without pics

In any case, it will make you mad because the more you go on you inevitably grow attached to a certain character, his/her stats and the things it can do for your colony, and you may just lose him/her for whatever reason.

In my current game I have a 19 builder (max is 20, "godlike") which received a permanent brain injury from a bullet during a raid.

Now he's just.. slow. He still builds wonderful things, but sloooowly. Moves Slooowly. Does not fuck with his wife anymore, almost. Gets to bed late because SLOW. ... he literally built half of the colony almost alone, and now he's like a very proficient vegetable. Still I can't get rid of him...but I could. But the wife would suffer. But another colonist (with the "pretty" trait) is trying to woo her..

It's making me nuts.

... you'll get to understand this someday, lol.

Attached: 1562739506229.jpg (426x400, 13K)

I'll leave the thread open after I go to bed. That sounds pretty intense actually.

Like I already feel for the guy, but at the same time, my malevolent god side wants to cuck him with the new fella, and cast him out into the cold. I definitely have to try this game now LOL

No no. I said fallout 2 you brainlet. Not first person shooter lame priece of shit, and Vegas redeemed that shit yet I still couldn't finish it out of boredom. Fallout 1&2 my dudes. Best dialogue game other than origins and vampire the masquerade( also gangster game even tho I hate vampire everything, it's too well done as an RPG)
Lisa if a fun RPG for 2$ if you got steam.

I always set the planet conditions to extreme, cold or hot but mostly cold because I love snowy environments.
You will undestand pretty fast you can use this to your advantage in various ways. You can easily stock meat and food in your storages without the need of a conditioner because it's already freezing cold, so this helps a lot.
But this will make trading with other tribes and freely walking around pretty hard, as well as an hot climate would be less problematic for roaming but would make your food go bad if you don't set up a proper fridge.

The thing I like about this game is that EVERYTHING has got stats. Random bushes around the map give you like a 20% cover from bullets, and this has a true impact on the game in term of strategy and survivalism, it's a really great game.

Do not install any mod, they kinda spoil its purity. The only I feel like not advicing against is "prepare carefully", if you want to make your custom character.

But you'll realize it's pointless to put all your money on one solo guy when he dies because of a food poisoning after killing an entire tribe of savages, lmao.

I was 15 when I first played, same age as Jimmy. That probably has a lot to do with my nostalgia.
The platinum for it is pretty easy.
Was going for 100% GAME completion, isn't even a requirement for platinum.

I suppose if you wanna play something toghether or discuss about the game I could handle you my league of legends name, so we can login in that cancer and talk about Rimwold instead.

this is a weird one because i know it's not really a "great game", maybe not even good. it rode on the 3d rpg hype that came after ff7 but it's the first videogame i ever played (was pretty much an outside child before then) and it's just a nostalgia explosion whenever i touch it.

nostalgia aside i'd pretty much rank MGS 1 and 3 pretty much masterpieces

Attached: 30634-legend-of-legaia-playstation-front-cover.jpg (800x689, 90K)

This. It's basically D&D with light sabers but it's written really well.

Fuck EA, you killed bioware.

Tales of Legendia, and I have a -little- obsession with it.

Attached: newnagames2.jpg (3264x2448, 1.07M)

wuts wrong with dark souls 3?

It wasn't sweepingly expansive, but it was pretty fun and had a decent enough story.

Attached: Banjo Tooie - Hailfire Peaks Mumbo and Fly Pad.gif (500x373, 270K)

sequel was utter trash tbh tho... sadly

Let’s see if I remember this correctly.... VGA! VGH... VAV...

Based, hope Rockstar wakes the fuck up and makes a sequel.

hoo hah eat this!

in terms of time spent - world of warships
Other then that - skyrim, diablo 2

Has to be Breath of Fire III

Attached: inside-cover.jpg (800x678, 177K)

Sci-fi horror game made by the same guys that made Amnesia. It's not really as scary, but that's not really the primary focus in this one. I don't really wanna spoil anything, because the story is so damn good, you need to play it for yourself.

DS3

Shit game. Kill yourself

Fuck off FF7 is the best dog ever made. Kill yourself edgelord

i don't really have one game, so here are the ones i have 1k hours or more in
>Path of Exile
>Stellaris
>Terraria
>Dark Souls 3
>Borderlands 2
>Dark Souls 2
>Minecraft

Is based on a comic called 100 bullets

Is that rapelay?

Bully was the product of everything Rockstar had done up to that point hyper focused on a tight world, script and story.
The open world of GTA, the stealth of Manhunt and the melee combat of The Warriors.
Now imagine them taking everything they've done now and refocusing it on a Bully sequel...

I’m gonna get on it as I enjoyed what little I did play of it way back when..cheers user

Probably Borderlands 2

my nigga

I loved GTA Online but I'm so burnt out on it. After reaching the retirement phase I'm pretty much done.

Bloodborne then GoW

Red dead 2

Bloodborne is the only game i miss since i sold my PS4 to switch to PC

What game

Haven't played it yet - have it tho.

NBA Live '95. Patrick Ewing 4eva.

Re4 was a worthless pile of shit and almost destroyed the series. Fuck you and anyone else who praised that piece of shit. Fucking third person shooter bullshit in my survival horror genre. Fuck Capcom and fuck everyone involved in that abomination. Thank fucking Cthulhu that they made RE 7 and brought the series back from the shit direction 4 took. I hate 4,5,&6. Despise them and they should be erased from existence. I would have rather seen Resident Evil die than turn into that for so long.

Played it thrice myself and did the same thing, with saves for every season/chapter.

Wouldn’t call it my absolute favorite, but it’s certainly among my top ten open-world games.

I really want a modern day remaster/remake of this with even gorrier executions and no gun play.

Remember to attend class, get great perks and after all 5 lessons you won't get truancy for skipping.
Good luck/b/ro.

The only reason I'm never selling my ps4 is because of Bloodborne, I really hope you get a ps4 or ps5 again, because Bloodborne is definitely worth it, and I honestly think that Bloodborne 2 will be a thing once the ps5 is released.

Loved it since I was a kid

Attached: snes_secret_of_mana_p_w2au7t.jpg (475x347, 178K)

there's no way fromsoft and sony are gonna miss out on the hype that would create, true
or maybe i'll wait until you can emulate a ps4, although we'll probably be on mars by then

my only complaint is that magic stops the game and is literally broken,

Skullgirls

Super Monkey Ball 2

While I don't despise 4 (ironically it was the first RE title I got to play, then I did RE:DS, RE2, CVX, RE3 etc) I was never a fan of the shift from survival/action horror to action shooter with horror elements. Personally I think Code Veronica was the last of the OG series before the decline began, it didn't help that RE5 and RE6 effectively repeated the same formula as RE4 with few improvements. Then again, you could say the same for the originals

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 19K)

God that last mission was epic

Haha yeah, this last playthrough I max levelled all the magic and nothing could touch me. It's major nostalgia glasses but I just love everything about it.

10/10!

I hate Four through six. Absolutely shit games.

I am still so mad I could not save Malak
WHY WAS THERE A SPEECH OPTION IF ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO PASS

I don't have a specific favourite but I'm gonna post the one I've played through the most (about 10 times?)

Good taste. Have you played the remake on switch?

Only liked this and FO3

Fallout 1 and 2 are dated and suck, it's like the most intuitive mechanics the devs could come up with is watching slowly as the game staples your balls to the seat
I think New Vegas sucked, I went south of that boring village where you start and got instakilled by deathclaws. NPCs dint take any damage you may as well throw rocks at them

Attached: 5a718f545bafe318943d3514.jpg (323x433, 29K)

remake had a lot of issues when it first launched, thankfully (most of them) have been patched out. not him, but I enjoyed the remake quite a bit. looking forward to Trials of Mana.

>Classic fallout inc NV which has best writing
>shit

Underrated posts. Those monkey ball minigames were killer

>Fallout 1 and 2 are dated and suck

Why is that, I wonder?
>Fallout 1 - 1997
>Fallout 2 - 1998

Tards such as you deserve shite like FO76

Attached: giphy.gif (480x270, 167K)

I started the remake but didn't get far before I was jonesing to play the original. Been playing Trials and enjoying it, and Secret of Evermore because it uses the same engine as SoM. It's not as engaging admittedly.

>secret of evermore
nobody ever plays this little gem. the 2 player hack is neat too.

I have beaten it at least thrice

Right now I’d have to say it’s Crash TwinSanity.

i'm just glad to know some people still have some fine taste.

Well i am 38 so it has been awhile.

Any love for the 7th Saga?

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

it's on my to do list. i bought a retro bit genesis controller recently (hate the official one; RB is a godsend) and have been playing some missed genesis games. last night I beat tmnt hyperstone heist and ghouls n ghosts.

Ultima 4.

GnG I had forgotten about that one. Fun. I assume you have played Sonic 2?

Im thinking to start playin xcom, im not really in to strategy but i wanna leanr. Which one do u reccomend? 1 or 2?

Spongebob Squarepants lights camera pants the pc version

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 25K)

Great game, haven't picked that up in a while.

I really want to play Terranigma since I missed out as a kid. I'm 36 btw

While I have fond memories XCOM enemy within and one you can't really go wrong with XCOM 2 especially if you have used the long war mod

You mean April 2020

TEAM FORTRESS 2 BABY

My favorite game of all time is battletoads

Is Ghouls and Ghosts as difficult as Ghosts and Goblins? Been wanting to ah more Genesis games. X-Men is a huge fave

on gamecube or wii?

You're a masochist but I respect you lol

>doesn't know how to play games
>games suck

definitely a good game. played sonic, 2 is my favourite, but i don't really like sonic in general.

it's pretty difficult. enemy placement is quite annoying. the final level rams the difficulty through the roof.

Did you ever notice the river bank up in the snowy mountain area (dont recall the name), if you threw a tomahawk way over across the creek it would bounce back and stick in your skull. It never got old.

I've bee to like every game store in my city. Nobody has even heard of Battletoads

On wii

Fortnite battle royal

Master of Magic
Castlevania: SotN
Transport Tycoon
Stracraft: BW
Settlers 2

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 141K)

Fallout New Vegas, Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, and I've gotten into Ark survival evolved lately

The walking dead

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

mah nigga

Attached: Tribes_2_cover.jpg (256x308, 23K)

So what you played it for like 2 minutes? You don't deserve any good game. Get spoonfed fps somewhere else.

Play silent Hill 2 then. Gives better than resident evil naustalgia chills. I liked resident evil 3 the most.

Skate 3 definately.

Rachet and Clank: Up your Arsenal good memories playing with my brothers and I'm just now realizing how all of the games titles throughout the series had innuendoes

Unturned, really underated indie game

Re 7 was awesome. So is the RE2 remake. It wasn't the over the shoulder camera that bothered me it was the action fest.

Mass effect 2 I just thought the story hit so hard. the intro the reapers the citadel the combat hit so fucking hard I recommend looking up “indoctrination theory” and the opening scene for me2 if you don’t know anything about the series

Attached: Super_Mario_Land_2_box_art.jpg (220x197, 22K)

Crash Bandicoot

Fuck off faggot.

Syphon filter and KillZone.. we need support!

To The Moon and Finding Paradise are easily my favorite games of all time. They're so well written, and you feel like you can really bond with the characters, i cried at the ending of both games.

Dark Souls 2, the game got a lot of hate but dueling on the iron keep bridge was some of the best fun I've had in a game

Age of Mythology

God of War and Star Fox

>you find out yournamejieff

>not thinking Penelo is best girl.

Kingdom Hearts II
Those were some of my favorite childhood memories.

Get out of here you DragonQuest loving fool. You're drunk.

FFVII

Attached: 561.jpg (640x480, 200K)

His face. It's nightmarish.

Mah nigga.

This game directed my life in some way. Without it I wouldn't become fascinated by computers and wouldn't study computer science probably. This game made me curious about algorithms.

I know what you mean, but I personally couldn't get into FFX. I didn't like the protagonist much, and couldn't get past the first 10 hours on two different attempts through the game due to lack of interest.

Regular turn-based combat was great in the Breath of Fire games. If you never played those, you should give them a shot.

yep

Attached: keepers_hunting_dog.jpg (1024x576, 49K)

What about the game gave way to you looking into algorithms?
