You're a good boy for sticking in there.
Unless they're going to move you to prep cook and put you through schooling, there is no point being there beyond stealing a couple meals and paying the bills until you find something.
I'd suggest roofing, people are always quitting or getting fired so getting in the door is pretty easy because it's already spinning. You're going to want a car though, you don't want to be stuck on site when some meth head supervisor has singled you out to be screamed at all day.

I use to be a pre-mix kinda dude but after apprenticing for that pastry chef i can't go back to box mix. i prefer raw ingredients and a good mixer :3 Easiest recipe i can teach is Bread Pudding

Preheat your oven to 350 getcha a 9x13 pan
You're gonna need 2 cups milk 3/4 cup sugar and about 6 eggs a tsp of vanilla extract 1 tsp of cinnamon and mix it all up in a liquid mix
>Take some bread (and i mean anything goes; rolls old bread; cinnamon rolls, Just need something spongey to absorb it all
>Lay your bread in the pan and coat it with your egg mix. Cast rasins in it before jamming it in the oven
45 min in the oven
You'll know its done when there's a spongeyness to the desert
To finish either use pie filling (cherry or blueberry) to drizzle over the entire thing
