Coincidentally, I had been itching for a chance to try out my new Crosman Vigilante revolver when I came upon this all too familiar scene in an alleyway near the sporting goods store. I removed the gun from its packaging, installed a co2 powerlet, loaded a clip with domed pellets and settled the sights on the head of the yellow foal. "Oh, sure! Why of course I'll save you!" I remarked in a happy tone as I thumbed the hammer back.

"Weawwy?" The purple foal asked hopefully.

"Really!" I replied cheerfully as I sent the first round flying. ~PTAK!!~ A neat red hole appeared on the back of the yellow foal's skull. In compliment, a tiny spray of blood spattered forth from the front of its head onto the dead mare's coat. Her stomach jiggled slightly as the pellet penetrated her hide. The purple foal sprayed a slight bit of shit and piss as it was startled by the sudden noise. It looked over to see its littermate slumping to the ground. I thumbed the trigger back again.

"Bwuddah?" It inquired. "Why haf boo boo juice coming fwom yow think pwace?"

~PTAK!!~ The next pellet found its mark in the purple foal's side and passed straight through its tiny body. It let out a horrified squeal at the sudden pain. I could see a bit of intestine hanging out of the exit wound. I looked at my new purchase and smiled. "Heh. Not bad Crosman. Not bad." My gaze shifted to the little purple shit rat flailing about on the ground. Using the toe of my shoe, I nudged him toward the maggots spilling out of the dead mare's mouth.

Job done, I slipped the gun into my backpack and continued on to go find my next good deed of the day.
