Maybe I want to live there. It's been rewarding even by itself. I've realized how poor a sense you get of a place even as well known to the west as Japan without being able to hear them speak for themselves.

Okay so to clarify I hate Australia but it's okay if you're planning on doing some form of education over here because it's pretty much the only thing this country is good for. It's a horrible place if you intend to work permanently or you're just starting out on your career, it's just too backward and full of drongos. The entire country is just a lazy put together mess, it's literally just a floating prison in the middle of the Ocean you can't escape from if you were raised there.
Come over for the education then get the hell out again, that's my recommendation but it's up to you I guess. I guess everyone hates their own country in a way and wants to escape it but I believe Australia is just a terrible place regardless.
