I tried League of Linux for months on Ubuntu. Ran pretty good. Great FPS. but every WINE/Ubuntu/League update broke it and I had to wait weeks for a fix. Finally threw away Linux and put my Windows HDD back in

>Windows key + R
>Type services.msc, then enter
>find Windows Update in the list
>Right click, properties, change Startup type to Disabled
>don't be a retard and never update, but it won't automatically download them until you enable the service

>Find "Configure Automatic Updates" and double click it

No more automatic updates, no more automatic reboots. Just make sure that you understand the security risks of not being up to date and install new updates in a timely manner.
Google how to roll back to the last update, for cases where an update potentially breaks something.

Additional info for Win10 Pro that I forgot:
Windows will notify you when there are updates ready to download, but with option 2 will not automatically download them.
To install updates:
>Windows key + i
>Update & Security
>From here you can check for updates, install them, etc.
You are also able to configure active hours which will prevent the computer from rebooting during those times, in cases where you have updates set to download, install, and reboot automatically.
You may also pause updates for a certain period of time, etc.
The options that appear may vary from version to version.
Remember kids: Google (or a search engine more respectful of your privacy) is your friend.
