I tried to distance us a couple of times. It failed, miserably. She can see my truest feelings when they are from my soul. It's the one way I've never been able to trick or deceive her. I know as a result when death is coming to something living soon. I started smelling it on nearly every living thing around last Autumn. My wife started dealing with whatever it is around that time I believe.
Last week I started sensing death elsewhere, on things you wouldn't think of as alive. My wife I believe pulled her best deception on me ever, telling me I'm just worried needlessly. It almost worked. But I found a leaf in her pocket that night, so I know what she did.
