The Game.
Orlando is the earliest of her movies I've seen, and that might be from earlier
Indeed. I really liked it. His reaction at the end was a bit unreal though "oh, you've been gaslighting me all along, I love you now brother".
Also, chose this one for the op because of the title
>the game
Nope, more recent
Something with Kevin in the name.
Can you tell me what the Tarkovsky movie was? I didn't have time to check your reply.

>Something with Kevin in the name.

No, I mean no. It's not Oliver anything. It's All Dogs Go to Heaven.
Retard.
Yess. I fucking loved it. Grew up hooked on the 90s spiderman, he's my hero, this movie gave me the same feels
Not that guy, but those are not remotely the same thing

sowwy user
Fuck, I've seen that. The kitty is doing a sad 'goodbye' wave, no?
Alice in Wonderland?
I watched it for the first time over the weekend (Spider). It was pretty good.
Third man
Correct!
Am I right/close, user? It's itching my brain
yeah. my favorite. goodbye dinah! gooodbyeeeee!
well i mean...she's falling down the rabbit hole. that's not always a sad event. just getting lost in another world for a bit. she'll be back soon though.
Old Media teacher had a thing for orson welles
Hah! Right! Man, it has been -ages- but that one popped right in the right place.
I watched it a ton as a kid, and then again in my late twenties, it's a pretty scary movie in some ways. Like a nightmare/bad trip can be.
Close in time frame, this is one year before Deathtrap and its a Disney film.
>Like a nightmare/bad trip can be.
exactly. i mean i can see how people would find it scary. i guess i never thought of it that way. we did a unit on the book in elementary school and the teacher used to make us imagine our own worlds. i think that might be where the love affair started. ive read the book a thousand times since. so worn that my copy is falling apart at the seams. just one of those things, yknow? figure everyones got that one story that speaks to them more than any other they've ever heard. bet you have one too probably.
no reservations
Nope.
You'll have to recognize the girl on the right
matrix 2?
Nope, 2 years before the Matrix
Tough one
Wing Commander?
prometheus?
she's that chick from heroes right? but i can tell you right now, ive never seen this movie so i have no fucking clue.
Saving Private Ryan?
Not Prometheus
Ugh, that one where a ship has a new drive which opens up into the realm of hell. Agh, can't think of the name..
Nope
Event Horizon
Yes!
No, that's not Hayden Panettiere, this was about a decade before Heroes.
She's short and top-heavy, tho.
Course, that's the one!
I do. I'll probably get judged hard for this, but besides an old series of books, 'my' story is the anime Gurren Lagann. I've watched it 1~3 times a year since it was released, it refuels my will to live, and every time I watch it I notice more crazy details and fall in love with it even more.
No. Since the leg doesn't help much...
Hint: It's a kung fu movie.
Looks like Hong Kong, but I don't know what movie is.
Enjoyed this, here's one in response
Accidentally watched it when I was 11 on a blank VHS, was traumatised for about a year.
Feel I should know this, but no clue.
Ooh that's a good one too. People constantly shit all over animes but there's a rich philosophy to each one if you bother to take the time to find it. I struggle through Ghost in the Shell because of how close it hits to home, just like I'm struggling through Evangelion. But sometimes, you have to shake yourself out of complacency to get perspective on why you built that comfort zone in the first place. Good choice though. Haven't seen GL in forever.
You watched on a blank VHS tape?
Are you sure got back from the ship safely?
Green Elephant
1999
Is this Deadpool or something?
Labyrinth
Wall Street?
Asian crap
Erin jewovich
Little miss sunshine
Lolita
Waterloo
Green Elephant
It's in Hong Kong, yes. Movie from 2013...
Not Waterloo
Ricki tikki
The Arrival?
Cheers bruh.
FLCL is another one I can keep on watching. It's like a crazy long music video. ~Super~ comfy music, amazing animation, great humor... That sound when she first hits Naota with her bass, muh dik
I've watched both GitS and Evangelion, but neither did much for me. One sortof in similar style that did stick with me, even though I barely remember anything from it, is Serial Experiments Lain, and Battle Angel Alita. There's just a mental residue of how they made me feel, and it's special.
Yep got it
no, see
Kek
Older brother taped over one of my age-appropriate films. Carried on watching because I was like ''Oh sweet its the dude from Jurassic Park''. Two eyeless hours later I regretted my decision
>Wall Street?
Nope, it's already been guessed: The Game
>Asian crap
Barbaric
>Little miss sunshine
Nope
FLCL and GL are both very meta, though. They're great, but you have to be invested in anime in the first place to really appreciate all the references and subversions.
Cheers!
Did you post ?
What about my guess? Am I thinking in the right direction/era at least?
The Shawshank Redemption?
Sky captain or something like that. It has Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina jolie in it.
The shootist
this one should be easy as fuck; i have faith in you fuckers
Ooh Ninja Scroll. Classic
Cheating bitch
This should be easy for fans of HK action
I did and replied, its not Waterloo or the the right direction, sorry
Disney film from 1981
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest?
The Thing
Dark City?
Nope
Yes
Yes
While that's true, FLCL was one of the very first anime I watched, shortly after it was released. I was ~17 years old iirc. And even though I barely understood anything from it, I still enjoyed it a lot. Visually and musically it's very interesting no matter what your background is.
TTGL, I don't agree. It's a coming of age story, packaged in a mecha anime that is extremely over the top as an hommage to the old days.
And filled to the brim with feels. I didn't pay much attention to it the first few times I watched it, but now one of the most emotional moments for me (besides the obvious Kamina moment), is when the crazy twins offer themselves up to save the kids.
That whole arc is about an older generation, used to war, bored by the politics of the new world they helped build, and then when there's another fight to be had, they all get lively again, and literally give their fucking lives to pave the way, and -make way!!- for the next generation...
The game ?
No, sorry, I'm the one that guessed Death Trap. But I'm mistaken then, it looked very familiar though.
No, but good movie!
Indeed, but you are not the first to guess it.
The Pillows made a great soundtrack, and it does use a lot of visual tricks. But you do miss a lot.
GL does require some understanding of mecha anime, but enough of that's become mainstream that someone unfamiliar with the genre directly will have picked up some by osmosis. So to some degree, yes.
Oh right on, my bad. You are close though
Pearl Harbor
Shutter Island.
Once Upon a Time in the West? Or another Western movie?
first post fag post
Baby Momma
Nope
Nope
Hmm. I've only seen the animated disney movies, so I'm gonna skip that one.
It's a god tier animation from before you were born, turbonerd. Dismissing a whole genre because 'lolcartoon' is pathetic.
ooooh ninja scroll
that is my shit
Roxanne
Nope, but the right genre
No, but that was a good adaptation of Cyrano
I recently watched this one for the first time, I had no idea what to expect. Most fun movie I've seen in ages, had a blast.
>Hmm. I've only seen the animated disney movies, so I'm gonna skip that one
Honestly I would not have guessed it was a Disney movie. Years later it surprised me when I found out it was made by them.
The movie is Condorman
the game
no
Condorman is a great film
Aviator
Condorman
holy shit is that condor man
Damn I was sure that was it.. without cheating I can't think of another movie that Steve Martian and Sigourney Weaver were in together
>The movie is Condorman
Never heard of it, and the stills don't ring a bell.
Would you recommend it? I've been getting into movies the past few years, and appreciate a wide range.
Nope
Why, yes it is!
singing in the rain
Correct
Glad I'm not the only one who watches classics in this thread
I've meet very few people that ever heard of it. I'm surprised it made it to digital. I would rank it in the same level as their older Love Bug movies,
Good logic, but that's not Sigourney Weaver
>4 seconds later
It's much better. Kids adore it, it's basically James Bond crossed with a comic book artist, and mixes the silly with the serious action.
here's a recent one then
Oh yeah.. thats not her. Good one, no idea now.
Another easy one, I don't have many movies saved on this pc.
Oh yes. I've been watching more and more movies the past few years, and am working through some of the praised classics as well. One of the first oldies I watched was Rear Window, which was my first Hitchcock too. That made me realize they were classics for a very good fucking reason. Incredible film.
I also really liked 12 angry men, for instance. So little decor and space, so much intensity. The acting feels a bit weird sometimes, literally theatrical, but it doesn't hinder the movies at all.
Thats a perfect description
The Royal Tenenbaums
“The incel chronicles”
This is the scene where user tells his parents that he lost his job again and can’t move out of the basement.
