I have been wondering for a while if cartoon, video game, movie developers design their characters knowing, and maybe hoping, that there will be tons of porn made of their characters.

Yea Forumsmrade reporting. I've read several times that everything Disney animators/illustrators draw of their IPs belongs to the company, and this might include pornographic material. We can't know for sure because that would destroy the company's image.

In the 90's and before small community's at cons or even some friends at the studio would exchange all sorts of material including but not limited to porn. I even heard that there was some leaked rugrats comics that some of the artists made of Stu being a complete and total asshole. Then when the internet became the norm it is something that should be expected of porn being made but some company's still try to take it down and always fail.
