depends dude. they all have pros and conts.
Joints are great for sharing with friends or pre-rolling a couple if you're going innawoods, to the beach or whatever. They take a bit of prep though.
Pipes are great because they're quick and easy, but they're not stealthy.
Bongs are good when the weather's shit outside or you're in a hurry (like between matches in online vidya) and wanna smash the weed down super quick. But it's pretty obvious and you cant take your time to slowly savor and enjoy the weed like you can with a joint or a pipe.

when you smoke you're REALLY stoned for the first 30min, pretty high for 2h then by hour 3 & 4 you just have a nice buzz. it tapers off over 4 hours.

with edibles you'll have 40min~2h before it kicks in but it's a solid, consistent high over 4 to 6 hours depending how much you take. I've even noticed differences in the edible depending on eating on empty stomach or after a full meal. after eating a full meal edibles wont be quite as strong but the high is way way longer.

it's pretty normal to not get high the first few times you smoke.
with weed you're supposed to inhale the smoke right into your lungs, like get smoke in your mouth then breath in fresh air to move it down.
