Well Yea Forums I'm finally going to say fuck it and shave my head. My hairline has been receding rapidly and the top of my hair is thinning noticeably. Not to mention the bald spot on my crown getting bigger. I tried to fight it for a few months with rogaine and finasteride but the routine just made me feel more pathetic and like it was a waste of time since so much of my hair was already gone by that point.
Has anyone else here made the decision to just shave your head because of balding? How did you feel about yourself afterwards? Am I going to get used to it?
Better bald than desperatly trying to hold on to your last few hairs. Plus, it's a better look overall.

I started shaving my head bald around 10 years ago. I remember the first thing I noticed was that older women seemed to be more attracted to me. The best part about it IMO is the money that I have saved.

What this guy said, I bit the bullet randomly one day after seeing how sad my thinning hair was, and people surprisingly only said something the first time they seen me, and then later when they told me how much better I looked with it shaved. Go for it user, hair is over rated!

I used to shave my head from 20yo to 24 and it was the best period of my life, hair-speaking. Note : I don't have any form of baldness. Shaving your head is > easy > cheaper > cleaner > making people see you as a confident man who rocks the bowling ball look instead of a worthless manlet who don't assume their genetics I have absolutely no respect for men who try to hide their baldness. They basically don't have any self-respect and think they can fool everyone with their poor, so poor tricks. Now I stopped shaving because I have a "white collar" job and got sick of people thinking I'm some kind of nazi, but you can be sure I'll shave my head the second I leave this job.

Yes I did it because of Alopecia aerate I also don't have eyebrows lol. I'm fine with it I think my head is okay looking and as long as you are confidentt with it it doesn't really matter just go for it. Although I think we all can agree having hair is better

I'm this guy and I want to add this you can't possibly imagine the time (and money) you gain by shaving your head. How much time (and money) do you lose going to the hairdresser, using shampoo, comb your hair, cleaning because of the fallen ones... Now picture this: every sunday evening I used to shave both my face and head at once. 15 minutes and it's done, you're good to go about your week.

Don't use a razor use an electric hair trimmer on the number 2 setting this look is better than shaved also will let you get used to the idea when you are ready to shave with a razor. >TLDR cut your hair like jason statham chicks like a bit of hair not matter how much you have.

Baldness is prevalent on both sides of my family and kids gave me shit in middle school calling me "rogaine". About half way through college, I just shaved that thin shit off and always have since, no one seems to care, but my biggest problem isn't baldness, its being a lard ass.

yeah. i was getting it shaved down to a size 1 every 2 weeks or so, and it occurred to me that it makes no sense paying someone $10 - $15 each time to do something that i could easily do myself with a bic so i shave my head bald 2 or 3 times a week and tbh can't imagine ever bothering to try grow hair again

Or maybe women are just extremely intimidated by how manly and good looking I am now. --keeping a clean shaven head is more maintenance than having hair. No regrets. So easy. I shave my face and head in the shower just use regular bar soap for lather. Nothing special takes like five extra minutes. Have a metal camping mirror to use for trimming around the mustache but I've been doing it so long, I don't really need the mirror. I have a Bruan electric for a quick touch-up in the evening if I need it.
I'm surprised finasteride didn't work for you, it kills your dick and your braincells but it's actually good at keeping your hair, did Rogaine work at all, i've been meaning to try it, Finasteride i'm not so sure about, mine started receding at 18, i'm 20 now and it still isn't noticeable to the average person but it's definitely gotten worse, not sure how much time i have left, i'm really bummed, i don't look good with short hair and i've already been in such a severe depression for a long time and it's like things just keep getting worse for me
