Any ex smokers here? Whats the best way to quit? I use the gum and it helps but I'm addicted to the gum which isn't cheap. I tried the patch but it makes me really itchy and leaves little red bumps.

Time to stop being a little faggot and making excuses for why you let a chemical found in a plant control your life. Get exercise, eat healthy snacks, make money, fuck your gf. You will find that keeping busy and completing tasks helps. Write a to do list. I quit a month ago so Im still struggling too.

Thanks user. Good advice. :^)

i started vaping. now im fucking addicted to vaping. shits emasculating. BUT it gives you way more control over the amount of nicotine you consume as you can gradually lower the dose and kinda taper off.

if i were you, I'd start low and just go lower. i started pretty high cause i'm a fiend

I quit cold turkey.
Seven or eight years ago, haven't looked back.
Admittedly the first two weeks weren't easy - but habits can be replaced, feel the need for a smoke? Go for a walk or do some pushups.
If you have willpower, you will stop.

Ex smoker here.

The best way to quit is to prepare yourself mentally. You can buy gum, patches, vapes, whatever. It means shit if you're weak minded and not committed to the quitting. Master self control. That's the best way to quit.

First time I quit was with these tea tree oil toothpicks, lasted about a year. The next time I quit was with vaping and it was much easier. Don't go for JUUL pods are a ridiculous vape, get one of the starter vapes from innokin or endura and just work your nicotine levels down to 0mg. Then quitting is much easier.
Chewing gum or toothpicks definitely help for whatever reason.

I could do with some exercise
Thanks Anons. I'll try some of these suggestions.

This, I use a Juul and my friends give me shit for it cause it's girly apparently but I have big dick energy and don't give a fuck. Went from a pack a day to maybe 1 cigarette every 2 days

Try snus

cold turkey faggot pussy.
takes you like 3-5 days for the first crave waves, then after ~30 days second craves will hit and after like 90 days no smoke there will be fall back chance increase due to nor-nicotine being pushed out your system and you will feel like you want to "just try to see how it tastes after the time". do it and you will be back on nigga.
be strong
5 days
after 30 days
after 90 days
???
profit

this is my way and ive read into the chemical stuff happening when withdrawing.
ex smoker here

>be me
>had an empty stomach
>smoked the last cig in the pack
>tasted shit on the empty stomach
>forced it in
>thought to myself why tf am I doing this if I don't like it
>never smoked again
>first week was TOUGH
>after that suddenly forgot about it

and forget the "I'm gonna reduce the amount I smoke over time until I get to quit" bs, just quit

similar story with me
>get home after night shift
>smoke last cig
>gotta go get more
>nah, fuck that
>stopped smoking, first month was though on me

Quit cold turkey three months ago after 10 years of smoking. has it right.

Stop letting a substance sold by the government control your life. Just stop and suffer for like a month and a half and you'll thank yourself later.

I'm in the process of quitting now. I hate the gum because it makes my I hate the scratchy throat feeling. I like the little mints better. Working out and staying busy helps. After about 3 weeks you'll feel normal.

i carried around tooth picks with me. haven't smoked in like 6 years.

Two packs of Malboro reds for over 40 years. Tried gum. Tried patch. Always reverted. Was going to walk to the corner store and buy another pack when suddenly my body basically refused to go. Stopped cold turkey then and there. It's been over six years since and I've had a total of three partial cigs since.

Instead of sucking on replacements for dicks, I switched ti the real deal

>best way to quit
juul and tapering off how much you're allowed to use. Quitting cold turkey also works, you will be miserable, but it works.
You have to have discipline to quit, the nonsmoking tools you use are just a method to change the medium to a healthier one. Also, the fact that you have trouble quitting is mildly amusing, this shit isn't as bad as say benzo or opioid withdrawal.

I used the walmart brand lozenges, one day I ran out, never looked back. Real happy I quit too.

Vaping. Eventually you will ragequit vaping since the stupid ass vapes always break/leak/etc.
