Also, if people of faith create laws in your country that are not challenged for their validity, then you live in a theocratic nation and not the US. Most laws that are created with religious overtures in the US get challenged and overturned by various courts.

The idea of God was made up as a way for our brains to cope with having no one/nothing. If you make yourself believe that someone is watching out for you and listening to you it’s easier to cope. I feel like the human brain knows this and developed that way as a coping mechanism. I feel like that’s why religion has been around for so long, since it taps into a familiar part of the brain for most people. In actuality we’re all meaningless and shouldn’t exist. You can’t create something from nothing, but at the beginning that’s what happened. It makes the thought of us all living inside of a simulation that much more plausible. But humans as a whole will never completely figure it out anyway. Earth will explode or some shit before then, so if we keep worrying about religion and this earth we’re all toast. The safest thing is to spread out to other planets first. But does it really even matter? Humans can’t work together right now as it is. The sand niggers have been fighting for thousands of years, Russia is a bitch, China has too many ant people and the US is full of douchebags that can’t even get along with themselves.
