The reason all of this gender retardation is happening is because men treat women differently.

The real issue here seems to be people have issues understand the English language. Gender evolved from Latin and old french. The original genus meant birth, family, and nation. Genus was meant to refer to identifying methods of categorization to individuals. The current English version was simplified to mean the identifying sex. People are often tripped up on the identifying portion, because it is vague as to wether the described party is responsible for the identification or the describer enacts the labor. Regardless of the confusion the base word was meant to be the commonality of identification classes the average person would be able to perform in a trivial identification. There is no prescribed "feeling" in the word gender. So wether you feel male or female is moot. The individual enacting the labor of identification is free to classify the person they are identifying as they choose within the preconceived common identifying traits.

Tldr: gender is just how other people describe strangers and who gives two shits what other people think.

It's always funny to me that people conflate gender with sex. The two are interchangeable in the professional biological world, and is taught as such in university- and graduate-level education.

Always funny to watch the reactions from people when I tell them about John Money, who coined the term "gender role."
