I think Yea Forums will make a nihilist out of anyone. But it's probably not possible for us to find a meaning even if one actually existed. Imagine if the universe was indeed a simulation (basic premise to the Bible lol). Like the simulations we perform now they usually have a purpose. To test some hypothesis. Therefore, this simulation might have a hypothesis it tests as well. That's the external purpose of it. This could be as simple as measuring the expansion of the universe or how stars form. We could simply be a by-product of this simulation. An unintended consequence. In this sense our lives have no meaning, although the "universe" does have a meaning. To test the hypothesis. But we would never be able to know this for sure. We are very self-centered, both as species and as individuals.

As others have said you may absolutely attempt to make meaning out of your life.
But you can't be sure if that meaning is objective or purely subjective.

Last time I told a girl I loved her she told me it was obsession and not love. She was on my mind a lot and it was the first time I felt whatever I felt, so I took her words to heart. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I believe the meaning of life is to serve your purpose. I believe in God and an ultimate divine and perfect Plan. No I don't understand it, but God doesn't exactly limit Himself to the tiny box of the human mind. The universe was created for a reason, every living person is here for a reason, if you are still alive then you are supposed to be here. I believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who gave Himself up to be tortured and killed in payment for our sins against God. By doing this He made all who accept Him in essence adopted children of God, and it is our duty to serve our life's purpose and to spread the message of God's love to the world. Again, just what I believe.
