space time theories as in..?
like gravitational waves or wormholes and shit?

Einstein was right.

you know what's interesting when you think about time not being a constant throughout the universe as it relates to aliens
aliens visiting earth could be both from the past and the future

Time has one direction. Unless you go past the speed of light...which cant happen

Time never reverses. It slows and almost stops in some cases like approaching the centre of a black hole, but never reverses

Ever

It can't

Ever

but it has different speeds depending on what you're near in the universe
being closer to a pulsar or black hole for instance, time wouldn't be passing at the same speed as here on earth
so technically an alien coming from such a location could be from the past or the future
if they came from somewhere where time passed more rapidly, and came here, they would in fact be going backwards through time as they acclimated to our speed
back in time to the present, that is to say

When an aliens far away from earth speeds up even more away from earth, then he is able to see the light comming from our future. Mind boggling.

Using einstein's time dilation equation, going faster then C would create a negative square root in the time dilation. Obviously negative square roots dont exist but einstein's math suggests reverse time could happen

truly
it's a shame we'll never be an interplanetary nomadic race unless the govt disclosed the existence of ETS and started working with them publicly
those fuckers figured out how to tackle all the threats of spacial travel and if we could just work with them, they'd probably allow us to travel with them
but for whatever reason the gov doesn't want the world to know they exist

>Able to see light from our future
You mean light that hasnt been emitted yet? That cant be seen

Yes but you can't go faster than light, ever

Ever

Correct

A space traveling species wouldnt give two shits about a society that can barely get to orbit

Sorra I was wrong with the direction. When the alien speeds up towards earth, the he can see the light from our future. See the interesting docu the fabric of the cosmos.

If the photon hasnt emitted yet, you wouldnt see its light

Simultaneity is a difficult concept in the universe. For you it hasn't been emitted yet, for the alien it is visible. Makes you think about free choice. Doesn't it?

Its bullshit bro. Stick to real science

But relatively governs it. So yes the alien could be experiencing time slower than ours and thus more time would pass for us. But that doesnt mean he is seeing into the future just our present.

> real science
Take a look at this video. Start at 5:00. It takes only 3-4 minutes of your time.

youtube.com/watch?v=MO_Q_f1WgQI

I watched the video. If the alien rides towards us, "allowing him to see the future" as the video says, his time moves slower than ours. It doesnt mean he is actually looking to the future just our rate of time moves faster so he would be looking at our present which from his relative location is measured as time that hasnt passed for him. But if he came here, he would be in that present not in the past. He wasnt looking into the future for us

I watched it.

It poorly explains the effect of time dilation, trying to dumb it down with loaves of bread for mass consumption.

There is no effect available for anyone to observe a photon before it is created.

You are right. But if the past, present and future is all out there, then so are the photons to-be. But not observable for us right now.

The future is not already out there - the future hasn't been determined.

You may skip your doctor's appointment, or not, or die on the way

Yes, the are photons emitted that we can see yet, that doesn't mean they are from the future. That sense of future is only relative. A photon that just emitted from the sun could be 1 sec old. But we havent seen it yet, it's a photon that in the future (from our perspective on earth) will give us light. It doesnt mean the photon is from the future because we havent seen it yet. It didnt travel back in time to be observed

> the future hasn't been determined, a scientific fact?
