What the fuck is this?
What the fuck is this?
Host Process for Windows Services
Some context , this is a pic of the ammount of svchosts i have running apparently.
I got this screenshot from Task manager > Details
Ok but why are like 100 of them running at the same tine
Host Process for Windows Services
Host Process for Windows Services?
Each running service will spawn it's own svchost.exe. Just make sure it was spawned by services.exe, that's normal. svchost.exe spawned by headOnKeyboard.exe is no bueno - that's a hack.
yea , but why are so many running at the same time
There's one for each service, that way if one service crashes it doesn't take down the whole system.
ok...
but is it ok if i disable it , i rembmer once my computer was fucking crippled by these
And my computer now runs like concrete ass , could they be at fault?
ok
You're being hacked. call an indian microsoft specialist while you still have time.
The system and its software need them to run. Having so many means you have software installed that needs to run things as s service. Focus on what windows options you have installed. Also, there is a column with username (LOCAL SYSTEM, NETWORK SERVICES etc). There's three I see with NUME or NUNE. Look for the services running with that username (services found in services.msc)
Oh noes
>kek
Does editing and video recording software need to run things as service , because i instaled a lot of them
But i uninstaled them , but because i didnt know what i was doing i may have just deleted the icon like a retard
I have seen 1 editing software program and 2 recording software programs that i where still there but i did not know of them meaning that i just deleted the icon like an fucking ID10T
It depends on the software. It may if it needs access to certain parts of the hardware, or if it was coded sloppily.
To uninstall them go to Programs and Features, select the program in the list, and click uninstall. Go through that list and uninstall unused software (DO NOT uninstall native windows anything).
Editing software was wondershare Filmora
and recording was Bandicam and Action!
also you check to see what services/applications are spawning svchost open a command prompt and type in:
tasklist /svc | find "svchost.exe"
then use your google-fu to find out if any of those are nasties
fyi I've got about 50 of them running now and that's typical nowadays, it's not the days of windows xp anymore
Do you know anyother way to speed up a 4 YR old Laptop with 4gb ram for free?

Something you ban best into a VM and run only if absolutely necessary because some software is not available on operating systems ending with an X.
