So I'm American and was raised religious (am not now). I was always taught in church that America was God's chosen country and that His work was being done through the country.

A lot of other religions in America believe that too so that's probably why you get the ego.

God or not, we're still the greatest country on Earth and that's a FACT. That's why we've got the ego.
