Eh the celebration seems weird to me. I get that they're all discriminated against and poorly treated by their parents and shit so I understand how a big pride culture can help, but this is exactly where I think it goes too far:
You for example realise it's just how you are and isn't an accomplishment or a badge and just want to leave it, and now you.have your own community telling you to be proud like you have to be part of the cult or something. It's weird.

It's more so embarrassing than anything. A majority of the community bash on straight people and get surprised when they don't have any respect for them, it's setting a bad image for a community that I never wanted any part of and now I have to live with.

That's kind of it. They're totally being regular humans about this. They've formed a clan based on common identity and now there are a lot among them who just hate what isn't part of them.
