Find the thing that alcohol is replacement for.
This sentence has only eight words, but it means everything. Trust me.
Stephen King told that after he quit drinking and drugging and mothwashing etc. he felt like evicted from his own life.
but he resumed writing and made shitloads afterwards.
go to switzerland for a psychedelic treatment
smoke weed instead.
it's cheaper, no hangover, you're not ruining your liver and you're not filling yourself with empty calories.
i'm not an alcoholic. alcoholics go to meetings. i'm a drunk. learn the difference.
>filling yourself with empty calories.
SHUT UP, mom.
That seems like replacing one addiction with another.
I want to get back to the days of my childhood when beer tasted bad and booze tasted like poison and when we got our highs of swimming in a lake or playing football in the hot summer sun.
yes, i know that sentence, your brain just needs dopamine and if you're so eager to get it by exerting the exact unconciously learned and improved behaviour so you're getting it otherwise or taking the shortcut of alcohol, i don't see much difference in the end result
drunk reporting in
i'm doomed no way back
get me off this rollercoaster
EXAMINE THE PICTURE YOU JUST POSTED user AND YOU TELL ME.
Just keep buying that shitty beer, and the desire to drink will go away on its own
not OP but I'm already in switzerland, what psychedelic treatment are you talking about?
quit drinking
drunks go to parties
you are correct
Go watch Shoe nice bourbon slams and you’ll probably quit
but you're getting passive and that's worse
What Walmart shrink advice is that? Jesus
it's good advice if you drink out of boredom and not out of some version of fear
take some mushrooms, and think about how your life could be better without alcohol during instead of just jamming out to dark side of the moon and laughing for an hour straight
get your shit together and be an adult not an addict

I don't think it is available yet, but if it will be, the country of origin seems like the most probable place.
Kek, this
In the process of trying to quit right now. Longest I went was 7 months before I relapsed. Replaced alcohol with gym this time and I've been (mostly) sober for about 2 weeks so far. Maybe that can work for you?
The only time I really crave a beer is either after a long workout (I do BJJ) or after a long day at work
interesting, i'll have a look
There's clinics over there, psychedelic therapy is what they call it. Trip, meet your God(s), realize how fucked up you've been living your entire life, then you can't help but work on it afterwards
I also tried to slowly stop drinking. Like I'd drink slightly less and less liquor each week until I was only drinking beers. Then I slowly reduced the amount of beers that I bought
Why bother?
this kinda works, but I got stuck at 1 beer 1 whiskey per day. At this point, it is one of the few things I look forward to at the end of the day. It even ranks at the same level as seeing my wife, which is making me really depressed.
Stop buying alcohol.
Stop drinking alcohol.
Tried it, but that makes me hard to fall asleep and sad during the day
Go to an AA meeting and look at the losers there if that doesnt make you stop drinking or at least take a break from the sauce i dont know what will

Killing yourself might work.
I went off pills but I had to substitute it with booze and smokes and I imagine it's work the other way.
I stopped drinking gradually over a few months and was alcohol free for 7 months in 2017/18, I didn't dig it so I drink again, too much I suppose but fuck it right?
not really
That's not bad for you though. You're not a drunk or an alcoholic. One or two nights a week I go to a bar and shoot pool and have some shots and beers but other than that I don't drink. I used to get up and take shots of whiskey and smash multiple beers before work
