Personally I felt the show was at it's peak from S2-S4 with S5 being really rushed. Loved the soundtrack and the two leads.

It's only 2 short seasons, definitely worth the time. As a bonus, you get another reason to motherfuck HBO when you look up what had already been written had they not canceled.

yes that great thing about the show was that it was just a setting for something deeper. it was about the characters and their personal history and issues. basically a character study. it could have also been on a spaceship or in a dungeon or whereever it wouldn't have really mattered. but like every show, at the end it all becomes action, action, action and lack of meaningful story.
just like walking dead. at the beginning you had social dynamics, character history and backgrounds. and now it's all feminist cunts shooting zombies and acting hard.

I actually wasn't too crazy about the ending. I thought the show was building up to the Machine and Samaritan merging. The machine was too passive and Samaritan was too aggressive and controlling. The machine portrayed itself as a woman while Samaritan choose a male. If they unified humanity would have truly had a benevolent ai god. I honestly think that was the direction they were going but ran out of time.
