Spock: There are many who are... uncomfortable with what we have created. It is almost a biological rebelion--a profound revulsion against the planned communities, the programming, the steralized artfully balanced atmospheres. They hunger for an Eden where Sping comes.

Kirk: All do... the cave is deep in our memory.

Spock: Yes, that is true , Captain.

Kirk: But, uhh, we don't steal space cruisers and act like irresponsible children. What makes you so sympathetic to them?

Spock: It is not, uhh, sympathy so much as it is curiosity, Captain--a wish to understand. They regard themselves as alien in their own worlds--a condition with which I am somewhat familiar.

Kirk: Spock...? What does 'Herbert' mean?

Spock: It is, umm... somwhat, uhh... uncomplimentary, Captain. Herbert was a minor official, notorious for his limited and rigid patterns of thought.

quark marries a klingon

heres a hard one depending.

Fat riker watches history in the holodeck

I remember the episode where his ex-wife shows up and Worf has the hots for her, I don't remember an episode where they got married

here's a vague one:
>Doc Crusher hooks up with a Ferengi

Attached: theprice158.jpg (320x244, 22K)

I know that one, its the one where quark marries that klingon. It was always a mental stand-in for bf-wm relationships in my mind.

that episode should never be mentioned, the one where an entire series was a holodeck vacation for fat Riker

dubs of truth and logic checked

i really like the series, but the ending was lame. they tried to tie it into TNG, which they should have done much earlier. but the end of the series was just a holodeck session for Riker

As far as I know, Tarrantino still has a green light on an R rated version. Patrick Stewart wants to be aboard, I'd love to see him as Picard running amok as a sleeper Borg trying to take down the Federation.

i'm hoping Tarrantino casts Samuel L. Jackson as Q. Q can bring in Shatner as Kirk, Koenig as Chekov, and Stewart as Picard. Chekov sacrifices himself, they can have a tribute to Anton Yeltsin in the end credits, and Q can call everyone a motherfucker

Picard tries not to fuck a woman. She becomes his forever.

...

Oh man, the only thing I can remember from that episode is--When they were doing preproduction for DS9, they didn't want Dax to look like the trill from their actual first episode (where Crusher has a romance with a boy-trill, who later becomes a girl-trill, and Crusher isn't bisexual enough for it), so instead they took the spots all the way down from the woman from this episode. But that's all I can remember.

Kes was 2 or 3 years old. Neelix was fucking her.

Kes leaves the ship. Neelix starts hanging out with Naomi on the holodeck.

That episode was probably some serious fap material for Star Trek fans

It was Worf's step-brother. Worf and friends were happy to just sit back and pontificate on how noble letting everyone die is.

It's not that they didn't care so much as they weren't very suppressed.

Garak was a very good assassin in his previous career and everyone on the station knew it by that point and then he got murder drugs. There was a limited number of things that could happen by that point.

But then he challenged Miles "beamed Cardassians into a burning building" O'Brian to a fight presumably because he was tired of living.

Yeah... that was kinda weird. Neelix was 100+ years old, wasn't he?

It's places like this that remind me I'm trash, my family is trash

twitter.com/theorville/status/1083547377783328768?lang=en

I don't think that they ever said how old he was. I could be wrong as most of Voyager was pretty forgettable.

I remember him mentioning a 20+ year stint on some ship that he went to AFTER he tired of his career in something else.

Dude was old.

Attached: Kes.jpg (325x396, 28K)

Thinking about it he probably was quite old. He'd also been a tester for orbital tether lifts and he did at least one tour in the military and ran away when he saw the nuclear annihilation of his homeworld. This in addition to the other jobs we saw him have which was ship's chef and salvage man.

He, like the rest of Voyager, was an enormous pit of wasted potential.

Voyager had some great episodes. but it never had two good episodes in a row. it had the most potential of any series (Starfleet and Maquis working together in a distant quadrant, exploring the importance of the Prime Directive, exploring new solar systems and meeting new races). and it never explored any of its potential

Attached: 10-in-real-life-7-in-star-trek-meme.jpg (450x506, 40K)

The writers were also under orders to make it 100% episodic so that they could be shown in any order in re-runs. This absolutely destroyed any hope of character and story arcs. There was also 2 groups of writers who hated each other and wouldn't talk to each other which is why Janeway is borderline schizophrenic. Also they started accepting fan scripts and scripts thrown out of TNG for being poor quality.

Also this was a distraction. Rick Berman could only concentrate on ruining one thing and it was either this or DS9.

To me DS9 is the the worst of the shows. Many episodes just have no point. I remember one where people are trapped in a magical roulette Takeshi's Castle and just run around there for 40 minutes and another in which Dex meets with his/ her earlier hosts and they are just hanging out in a sparsely lit room chatting.
Also why are the crowds on DS9 acted as terrible as they are? It's off-putting to me.

DS9 took awhile to get good. there were a few great episodes in the first few seasons, but it didn't get consistently good until the Dominion War. it started out as Casablanca in space, which was hit or miss. when they added Morn they made it Cheers in space, which was awesome. and getting the Defiant helped, it's tough to do Star Trek entirely on a space station

Attached: dt960320dhc0.gif (1200x369, 82K)

I don't think anyone can defend the Takeshi's Castle episode, but I would watch that over the "Kes goes into heat", "Warp 10 Lizards" or "we got all our advice on Injuns from a con artist" and other such Voyager classics.

Maybe I'll get around to sitting through a few seasons eventually.
It doesn't help that Kira and Jadzia aren't too interesting to me though.

I enjoyed Warp 10 Lizards.

You can blame Rick Berman for that as well. He was more interested in the breast size of the actresses than their acting talent. Dude, was ca total creep.

i think you judge a Star Trek series by how often they use deus ex machina (gods from the machine). in Greek plays, when the writers got stuck the Greek gods would show up and fix everything.

TOS used deus ex once or twice per season, sometimes they used actual Greek gods
TNG used deus ex once or twice per season, usually reversing the polarity of something or re-routing main power through the primary deflector array
DS9 used deus ex at most once per season, usually the wormhole space gods fixed things (and promised Sisko would pay a high price for their help)
Enterprise used deus ex once or twice per season, usually Jeffrey Combs showed up with the most advanced warship of any Star Trek series

Voyager used deus ex once or twice per episode. if a series uses deus ex more than once or twice per season, it is lazy writing. TNG had the best use of deus ex in Best of Both Worlds, they re-routed main power through the deflector array to make a super weapon and it didn't stop the Borg. it showed that the Borg were bigger than deus ex

of course, STD uses deus 10-12 times per episode. transwarp drive is warping regular warp travel, STD has transwarp level lazy writing

Attached: images.jpg (259x194, 9K)

Given the bullshit of STD we can only assume that Transwarp turns the ship into an Apache Attack Helicopter.

Star trek discoverys main character was a first officer in the beginning that committed fucking treason during a standoff and ignited the Human-Klingon war. I could not get over that fact no matter how many time machines they threw that that dumspter fire.
