i fucking LOVED san andreas right up until i finally passed the "follow the damn train" mission. because, like a lot of people, i got stuck on that so i started to fuck around with the other things you could do in the game. I started instigating block wars with other gangs until i'd eventually wiped them all out completely. The ballers, the vatos, and whoever that other gang was were all gone, the whole fucking map was green. I had dudes on every block, shit-tons of guns and ammo, and no one was left who'd fuck with the Grove Street Families.

Then I finally passed that mission one day by clipping one of the gunmen on the train with the motorcycle during a jump, purely by accident, and it all went away. Somehow this one cop, just by saying so, was able to reinstate every bit of territory to every other gang and effectively erase everything I'd done on the game in the last month. I put the game down and never picked it up again. I tried to get into GTA IV but Roman annoys the shit out of me and I don't care about the girlfriends, playing darts, the dancing minigame, or any of that shit. Never even touched GTA5
