How should I mount my power supply?

How should I mount my power supply?

What kind of %13 ass chart is this

Doesn't matter - buy more case fans.

Match up your intake fans with exhaust fans. If you already have equal parts than put your power supply in solidary mode.

Hack it to be liquid cooled. Then you don't have to worry about fans.

I think I've heard the PS fan should always be on the bottom. Don't know why.
I'd rather have it on the top to increase airflow through the case than sucking room air from the bottom.

I guess with some people it makes sense to have it draw in cooler air from the outside instead of warmer air from the inside.

Two fans. Like a Chargers game.

Quickly and forcefully while it's still drunk

who cares the world is dying and we'll die with it

wtf

From what I have studied the best way to do it is to Stick it in a box, be sure to slap the stickers back on the box if you dont have them on already, tape up to get a good seal, and return to sender.

Conversely you can use city grid for a liquid cooled system, just throw it over the bridge and sit in front of you monitor until it turns on. It takes awhile for the power to travel depending on the current.

If you want to also throw it in a microwave, you can turn on the microwave while the computer is on, the frequency will counter balance the heat wave and actually keep it cooler when it is running instead of hotter. Science is fun.

Case is bloat.
Install Gentoo.

whether or not something is commonly implemented has nothing to do with whether or not something is possible or viable. Haven't you seen the faggots who dunk their entire case in a tank of mineral oil as coolant?

my point was liquid cooling still uses fans

if you have pets fan on top. if not fan on bottom and clean it out once or twice a year.

Jesus Christ every answer is wrong.

If your case has holes below where the power supply sits then mount it with the fan down. If it doesn't have a grid to breathe through then mount it facing up.

It can be mounted fan down and breathe. There's a long removable filter on the bottom that runs almost to the drive bays.
Never had a PS at the bottom of the case in my once every 5 years builds.

for me its every fan that faces bottom or front to suck in, and every other to get the air out of the case.
would be curious to see a case with bottom mounted psu without venting hole. also usually screwholes dictate what way to put it anyway

Floor = fan up
Desk = fan down
