Let it soak in a bathtub filled with warm water overnight. That should clear off the wax.

i'd use salt first though, it's always nice to have chloride do a deep clean for the cleaning power of oxygen to do it's magic.

its fucked candle wax is such a bitch to get off and even if you do its likely to take more damage in the form of scratches and abrasion

forgot to add the slippery greasy feeling left over. even after using cleaners.

Throw it in the dishwasher on the top shelf if you have one. Then let it air dry for at least a day to be safe, reassemble, get back to fapping.

You're gonna have to take it completely apart. Expose the circuit board and clean off the wax with q-tips soaked in rubbing alcohol alongside with some sort of plastic scrape tool. Make sure the soldering isn't fucked if not resolder that shit. The keyboard will not function as it once did but you will be able to use it.

Op, prop it upside down and use a blow-dryer on it. That's how i saved my Xbox one controller.

Carefully lean it over the trashcan, fold a dry Brillo/Scotchbrite pad in half, and go to town. Don't use a metal one. The scratchy side of a dry sponge will work as well.

Also for the keys, use concentrated dawn dish soap and warm water in the sink. Clean them like you would your dishes. Let the keys dry on a clean towel for a night before putting them back on the keyboard obviously.
