I think I know what it is but would you please take a photograph of the opposite and from where it is round, where the flat part is, because I believe you would put a nail in that and a blank 22 caliber case and then you would pull that round part back and use it to fire a nail into concrete

the other option would be it's something you used to drive a nail into a place when you can't reach in there with a hammer and you pull the round part back and just keep letting it go forward and it slowly drive the nail in
