clearances 90% of the time are often offered to employees first, whatever not bought by employees ends up on the floor for customers to purchase, last month I bought 10 Phillips smart bulbs for 15 cents each.
Also if clearance items don't sell they wind up in the garbage crusher

Guess that’s the difference between the companies, homerfag here. I also got tired real quick with people asking me shit I didn’t know while passing other departments. So I took the time to learn other departments instead of continuing to not know stuff. The training is great and you can sign yourself up for it.

Plus when you work hard enough and have the right managers, they notice and give you raises accordingly, I make more than people who’s been there 10+ years who sound like the kind of workers I’m hearing so far. Go in to get paycheck, do the minimum to not get in trouble for slacking off, complain about how hard the job is. I’m not saying I’m getting the big bucks but I’ve gone up $5 in the last three years while most people get 0.25 mandatory raises.

Fun fact for everyone: you can literally return anything to the store no matter what it is. Even if you didnt buy it there, the return policy is non existent

This is true 100% of the time. I get returns from fucking Lowe’s. We both carry the same brand garage door clickers but different models. But you can get both on our website so I got like 30 that people stole from Lowe’s and returned to my store.

How much has your pay gone up for you (starting pay vs current pay) because i see it at best that you could use those skills in a job which pays alot more then home depot. The only real reason to work at home depot (in my opinion unless you are a lifer) is to obtain skills while being paid shitty wages.

We do a rundown on inventory, count the entire stores stock and what our computer system says we are supposed to have. Turns out we have a lot less product equalling out to a net loss of 100000 in on hand inventory. Loss can be anything from theft, to damaged product not properly documented, to incorrect receiving reports. Either way its not good at all
