do not do this unless he doesn't know you personally. being an ass to get someone to leave you alone is almost always better than convincing them you're a freak. if you just act like an ass, you can leverage against them with the old "i'll file sexual harassment charges" if they try to threaten to tattle to your boss or something

That was the first thing I tried. He's been ignoring me this entire conversation in favor of begging for a pity party/date/actual human interaction.
Don't worry, I don't plan to. Despite knowing this guy for a month or so now, he's hardly even breached the Acquaintance threshold. Meanwhile, he's been acting like we're best fucking friends since kindergarten or some shit.
He only talks to me either to hit on me or to try to get some kind of "pep talk" out of me because he's so dependant on other people's near-constant validation it makes his presence a very draining one to talk to. I don't know if his sadness is genuine or just part of an act in an attempt to get girls to coo over him. I've heard several stories in both directions. I don't know anymore. Talking to him is like trying to walk through a swamp of molasses. Slow and tiring. I only feel like he wants me either to Fuck or to be an Optimisim Machine.
I always try to take the high road, but his blatant ignoring of me in favor of whining is the last straw. Being rude and fucking expecting me to coddle him like a child when he claims to be 25? No sir.
I've been debating about blocking his number for a while now, but yeah. no, I'm blocking it tonight. i don't want to deal with this shit. It's not like I ever see him in my real life anyway. So I couldn't care less.
Also i think the fact that I'm tired and cranky is what is causing most of this.
Keep an eye out for orbiters. There's nothing on this planet that'll piss you off more than someone that tries to rope-a-dope you with your own suitors.
