Just quit a summer job, $20/h but had to travel with low paid travel time and low daily allowance with sometimes weekends and 12 hour days but mostly 9-10 hours, even though it would take all day (unpaid travel). had the possibility of going up to $30/h next summer but no respect or appreciation from the boss and little respect from the foreman I worked with. Giving up a lot for very little, not worth it. But I doubt I'll find something that pays more, but I'll give up a dollar or two for some respect and actually being able to enjoy the rest of my day/summer. Foreman was about to quit too, I hope he does, cheap/bad bosses deserve to struggle to keep good workers.

I now own a landscaping business that I started with my dad when he couldn't find work after the financial crash. He has had a job again for the past few years, so now the business is his gift to me for helping and often not getting paid for all those years. It's just me out there working, but I have very nice equipment and I can finish up between 10-12 yards in the span of 5 hours. It pays well. Really well for someone my age.

I also have started a recording studio (pictured) and it's finally starting to pick up. I'm hoping to move into doing recording full time and keep the landscaping business as a side gig to make extra cash from.

>Salary
Currently combined I make about $65k per year. Mostly from landscape work. Would like to pump it into six figures, which will be possible as I start taking on more clients in the studio.

Sad truth dude. They expect people to leave after a year or less because the job itself is very demanding, both physically and mentally. They're trying to minimize investment with these (predominately) early 20 year olds, fresh out of college with an uncertain degree, looking for a simple foot-in-the-door job. They're hired for a low salary, work to gain a few months / year of experience, then quit because they're burnt out by that point. The only sustainable position at the school is an administrative duty.

Honestly, dude, I found it on Indeed. I’ve got no relevant experience or anything, no degrees or certifications. The job is a joke and I usually only work 20 hours a week. Just look for it and apply, Yea Forumsrah.

Where the fuck are you getting paid $12 an hour?

Any other jobs that pay better?
What are some good paying jobs with little to no skills necessary that are nearly ASAP?
No prostitution unless it was worth it (fucking a cougar who just drops loads of cash but that's UNREALISTIC as hell)
Thoughts on trades? Worth it?
ASAP jobs I could get anywhere anytime?
Lesser known jobs of the world?

My manager at the store I work at makes like 40k+ a year lmao

I got fired from there. I was a picker. Fucking hated it.

Do any decent paying jobs exist for who is 17 and not out of high school?

More or less. People who die at home, nursing homes, hospitals, etc. My companies also contract with police departments, so I also get murders, suicides, decompositions, accidents, etc. Actually had a suicide like four hour ago. I just show up, get any necessary paperwork, pick up the body, and bring them back to our facilities.

I've been rejected from nursing school twice. My parents are getting antsy. If anything this would be for the gi bill.

Ayyyyy howd the person kill themselves?
What did they look like?
If it's a female does your mind ever slip into the taboo of necrophilia?

dam, do you have to clean it up or is already bagged up? How long did it took you to get used to handling corpses?

Not a bad gig for some money during uni and I get overtime pay over the summer

Manager at movie theater, 20 hr, 18 y/o

Some piece of shit dude who murdered three people. Fled state lines and was in an all day standoff with the feds and cops. Shot himself in the head. Bodies are usually alright. Once blood stops being pumped throughout the body, people tend to look a very pale yellow, and then they turn purple. And nah, aside from my moralfag nature and the legality of necrophilia, bodies are fucking gross.
Depends. The only time it’s in a bag is on police calls, and they usually already have it bagged up, but sometimes we get there and they haven’t done it yet, so we help them. It honestly doesn’t take that long to get used to it. I think it took me three or four days. Bodies can do weird shit, so that’s the biggest hurdle. Sometimes, the gas buildup inside of them will release through their mouth, so it’ll sound like a moan or a sigh. I’ve had a body grab my hand while taking its fingerprints before, too. It eventually just becomes normal.

What are your current thoughts on death?
What do you think of/about looking at those bodies? Assuming you reflect because of those damn bodies?
You believe in anything supernatural?

$10 an hr under the table
im getting paid to do my real estate license course (75 hr $300 class they paid for) on top of some other office bs and handling calls.
not bad for a summer job before i go to college, learning a lot of shit and I should finish the course and get my license soon. They want to help me sell a house at a low commission but still could net me a couple thousand and if I can keep it up during college I should be able to avoid loans.

Bro, gtfo asap; civilian controllers make absolutely blasphemous bank after they pick up certs. Anecdotally I've heard of career guys breaking 300k.

Death is the only guarantee in life. Doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, one day, your clock is going to stop ticking. Better to just enjoy the time you have and live without regret, because there’s no do-overs. The thing most movies and TV shows get wrong is that corpses do not look like real people. They almost look like wax figures from a museum. I’ve picked up bodies and seen pictures from when they were alive, and they don’t look anything alike. You can suspend your disbelief a little when it comes to that, I guess, or you can realize it’s an actual person. I do reflect a lot, yeah. Shit you see in rekt threads is different from physically seeing it. Physically seeing and smelling a body that’s been dead and rotting for three weeks is a good way to test if you’ve got a strong stomach, because I’ve seen veteran cops vomit and leave the room on calls like that. It’s scarring to an extent, especially something that hits close to home. Like when a child or a baby dies, or when kids my age kill themselves. It can be depressing as fuck. As far as supernatural, I’m a skeptic, but I’ve experienced some shit I can’t really explain. Like being at the funeral home alone at 3am and hearing banging on the walls or talking inside of the body storage cooler.

Let me hear more about that talking and banging?

Military can be great, but make sure you get yours. DON'T let the recruiter talk you into anything "later" or shit like that. Try and pick something up with a TS clearance if you don't have anything crazy in your past. Don't get swooned into cool guy jobs. Find something that's in demand civ side and take it.
