Not him but I used linux for 4 years during my undergrad, and while it's a great OS for programming, it sucks donkey ass for everything else. Shit drivers and lack of commercial software support are annoying. Better to get a Mac if you really want a unix-like system.

I have had Win10 on all my desktop & laptop computers, since the first day that the free upgrade from Win7 / Win8.1 became available.
I have also had Win10M as the OS on my primary mobile phone, that has approx 0.25TB installed memory, and still probably the best mobile phone 4k video camera and pretty good all-round performance for a smartphone that can operate seamlessly via a 4k or 1080HD monitor, with full size wireless keyboard & mouse, with (possibly) unsurpassed audio quality via a smartphone.

Frankly, I would not touch Apple products with a barge-pole and have only used Android devices, when they had ( a ) specific capabilit(y/ies) that I wanted to research as a matter of general interest in IT & communication technology.

MS products occasionally disappoint me, but nowhere near as often as their direct competitors do.
