You used to be able to post a picture of a safety poster you found in your dad's shed, go to school, come home and the thread would still be there full of photoshopped versions. That's how slow the site moved in those days. That's why we had great memes like "Carol Never Wore Her Safety Glasses".

Now there are millions of lurkers and thousands of posters. Threads last less than an hour. That's not enough time to Photoshop anything so most people don't even bother. That's why there's so little OC that we all join in on memeing. You want to experience classic Yea Forums? Then start your own imageboard and hope you never get more than a few hundred posters.
