btw i have got a few deposits put on hold for 7 days on suspicion of fraud and not once have i ever actually committed deposit fraud, not even accidentally e.g by depositing someone else's bad check made out to me when i didn't know it was bad, every single check i've ever deposited has turned out to be good. i think claiming suspicion of fraud with no actual basis in fact is they're new way of holding checks for as long as possible in hope of collecting fees at some point in the process

Yes, its a real thing. My mom fed me to shut me up whenever I was unhappy because half the time she was too busy to take the time to figure out the real reason and the other half the time she already knew the real reason but nothing could be done about it.
